But what was the linkage *before* the murde?. He seems to be almost stalking the Ramseys *after* the murder but that's no proof he committed the crime - only that he's trying to involve himself after the fact.
The Ramseys moved to Colorado in 1991 when Jon Benet would have been no more than an infant. I can't imagine how even the twisted mind of John Karr could have "fallen in love" with JBR at that age in whatever context he means it.
So where did he get this obsession for JBR from which to inspire travel from Alabama to Boulder at Christmas, 1996 if he, indeed, committed the crime? It could only be through the child pageant scene or if her images were already circulating in the pedophile world. And why would he travel to Colorado without some assurance that he was going to see her?
IMO, this is the really weak link to his whole "confession". As yet, there's no evidence he was there and no motivation to travel 1,000 miles to see a little girl he could not have known personally.
JMO If he didn't do it, he has been in contact with the person who did. He may simple be the key that unlocks the door. As I said the other evening. He then becomes a hero, writes the last chapter of his book from that view point and becomes a millionare.........

I don't think the photo is from the time when he was divorce because the source of the photo is Royal Thailand Police. This photo was probably taken right after they picked him up last week.
I don't know. I just heard somewhere that there was such a linkage. I've watched a fair amount of TV and radio about this, so I don't remember where I heard that. There's so many rumors flying out there that I don't even know it's true. But I did hear it. And it raised a red flag for me.
I've wondered too if Karr had an obsession for these child beauty pageants. My question all along has been how could he have known about this child. So I've listened to everything that has been on about how this could have happened.
I don't think they did it either. But they have acted as though they know more than they've admitted. The only motive I can think of is to protect someone else they loved as much as JonBenet.
When Ramsey created Access Graphics (1989), it was a merger of 3 companies. One of them, was Advanced Products Group of Roswell, Georgia.
On December 20, 1996, there was a big employee party at the Hotel Boulderado in Colorado. A dixieland jazz band made the rounds.
There is an article in THE DAILY CAMERA dated Dec, 21, 1996 by Tom Locke. The article almost looks like the background or a summary of the ransom note.

Was Karr flown in as a babysitter for some old southern business folks?....or with the band?? Did the glitz tick him off? Did Ramsey become a target almost sporadically?...A "fat cat" with southern ties.

Did she and would the paper print it? Some of the local rags are desperate for anything they can publish. I doubt it would have made a dent in the AJC *unless* the pageant was local or if AJC was still in social contact with the Ramseys from their time in Atlanta.
The AJC is stored on microfilm so it can be researched. I don't know if they offer online archives but it would be interesting to do a word search on "JonBenet" *prior* to 12/25/96 to see if she is ever mentioned.

Then it mentions the dixieland band (Southern connection) and several connections and computer companies including Sun Microsystems in Calif..
There's just a lot in the article that tells a lot about John Ramsey......enough to write a note that says "I know a lot about you".

I only ask because our local paper does it every Wed in the local section...people submit pics and stories about their relatives from all over the country....I just thought maybe Patsy's family did the same..
I just saw the video of him with very long hair...the long hair was mainly in the back...sides and top were cut more masculine-like. He was singing and playing a guitar in the one I saw. I think there was also one of him where he was kind of clowning around. The one with the singing and guitar...maybe the other one, too, don't know...I believe they said the year was 1987.
John Ramsey's life would never be the same.
The bad part is: I'm now starting to think Karr is a serial killer.
I just saw that too....they said it was his wedding video in 87?......there's another video they are showing where his wife is folding clothes and he has a baby in his arms...with the same long hair.
