Everyone was waiting for the 8 AM-10 AM call.He was long gone before they thoroughly searched the house and found the body. He had maybe a 10 hour lead on them. If he traveled by car, he'd be 600 miles away. If he traveled by plane, he'd be home."
I've been trying to come up with a motive that ties in with the ransom note, is plausible, and makes sense (at least from the killer's perspective).
Say it's Karr (or any intruder really). When did the kidnap/ransom idea occur to him? Was it prior to entry of the Ramsey's home or after?
If prior then why didn't he write the ransom note out beforehand?
Did he write the ransom note before or after JonBenet's death? Give your reasons.
Does anyone know what the draft note said?
Your idea is worth considering and would fit in with my tentative theory. I'm anxious to hear your thoughts on my questions.
IMO opinion. The ransom note was a dare to LE to find him..."I'm smarter than you are!" "I've given you this BIG clue now see if you can find me!" "Grow a brain" was directed at authority as much as at John.
John Ramsey might just be a symbol. The "Fat cat" reference gives me that idea.
How do you "humble" the rich and powerful to bow to your wishes? Go after their kid!!! It's the only way to reverse that POWER!! That's a Victory!!
Limbergh, Rockefeller....who else??
I do think Karr is a serial killer "at this point".
It was written before her death. There is no "love" of Jonbenet in that letter. It's a John Ramsey "hate letter".
The stationary was a pad, yes?? How many were there? Just one?? My guess is that Karr was in the house a couple of days before.
We think of great planning. But there is great "sporadic" planning, too. Especially, if you've done this before.
