I'm sick of technicalities and the "insanity" plea. Almost any sick, horrendous crime can be deemed "insane". Hinckley is a good example.
Oh, yes, he's been following all the coverage -- TV, newspapers. Probably not the Net, but all else, according to handlers - avidly.
He actually did a great service to many people by upping the ante in insanity pleas. They seldom work nowadays, except for the most obvious ones, like Andrea Yates.
