Yes - as a way of throwing others off his track. Remember, he claimed to have been entrapping Wendy because he was accusing *her* of having done something bad.
He will say he was trying to get *her* to confess to something, albeit NOT the JonBenet murder.
My head is spinning. I had not read that part - about him saying he was trying to get her to say something. There is SO much information -- 10 years (and the internet) creates opportunity for so much stuff to appear - I am beginning to agree with those that think there will never be a complete resolution to this case, though I do hope otherwise.
