Positive? Like if he had quit a month ago, the Republicans would have likely held on to the Senate? Is that positive enough for you?

I agree. If he was going to resign, it should have been before the election.

Bush answered that in his news conference 5 minutes ago.

Announcing a change prior to the election would have sent a message to the troops that he was willing to sacrifice the leadership he had chosen for them, and that he had backed strongly for the sake of political expediency.

Bush is a man that will not sacrifice principle for political gain.....I like that. You may feel differently.
