I like Fred and middle ground must be found on the issue. Just my opinion. The Border Must be sealed FIRST then the people that are here can work out some kind of FINE to get in line for citizenship.

A. How could any true conservative like Barnes? This is a guy who writes a book essentially bragging about Bush being a "rebel" because he's a big spending, big government "conservative."

B. People who don't respect our laws must be deported, and NOT allowed to return. Sorry, but a fine is just an implicit bribe.

Once the border is sealed, natural attrition will slowly reduce the number of illegal immigrants living in the US.

And what the heck is so hard about these illegals returning to their home country for several months so they can apply legally, like they were supposed to do in the first place.

If they were clever and financially able enough to get here, they are certainly able to return home.
