WOW. I thought American Conservatives (like me) believed in FREE speech and did not "look down" on anyone just because they were new to the discussion.
Seems you have a lot of rules on who can speak and what they can say. Now I'm not talking about offensive language or personal attacks, e.g., calling someone a "total a*s" or telling them to "P*ss off", which I certainly did not do (although I believe some else did, no?); I'm just talking about healthy red-blooded American debate about CARS! I also did not make any references to "spankings" or disparage the highly personal medical problems that some people unfortunately suffer.

With regard to your other comments, you obviously haven't met the same Mustang owners I have, but that's under the bridge.

And while I am clearly middle aged, I have a great head of hair and no other medical problems to speak of.

And my wife, God bless her (I can say that here can't I?), bought me my Corvette, and it was not to compensate for anything -- I just love great cars! (That whole guys buying cars to compensate for other things stuff is just a lot of nonsense cooked up by left wing, car-hating, mass transit loving, Nader worshipping, hybrid driving socialists!)

Anyway, if I broke any RULES about what I am PERMITTED to say here, I apologize. My offer of a Montecristo still stands.

Rules? Nah. Being abrasive on a CAR thread is expected man! Taking a ribbing for being a new guy is normal...just roll yer eyes and fire back.

Welcome to FR.

Alot of newbies make the same mistake, and we go over the difference between FREE speech, and what goes on in a privately owned and operated forum, such as this.

Having said that, I assumed you were, in general, just looking for a good chat about cars, so I segued clumsily into car talk and spent most of the message talking about cars.

My experience with Mustang owners was perhaps not "the average" owner, since this was a large group of knowledgable folks in a car club. Sports Coupe was all we called it (I am a former Mustang owner, but haven't owned one in for about 15 years).

And my wife, God bless her (I can say that here can't I?), bought me my Corvette

Now I REALLY HATE YOU! :)

Other than parhaps a Cadillac here or there, I consider the Vette to be GM's greatest car.

After my Mustang ownership, I drifted off into the Jap supercar thing (Turbo Supra, 300ZX TT, Mitsu 3000GT) for a while.. now, all I got is a Minivan!
