I'm sorry but even if the guy was a scumbag, stealing Play Stations doesn't merit a death sentence, nor the swat team. Ok, if the guy used a gun in the commission of the crime, sure, but I don't see that this was the case.
Being photographed with guns should not be tantamount to being armed and dangerous.
Over reaction by the police and over zealous police officers combined with the erosion of our 4th amendment protections concerns me quite a bit.
It is just amazing that war on drugs tactics are now spilling over into claims of college students stealing a Play Station.
Really as I said on another thread, police work is risky and dangerous. If you are CHICKEN, you should not go into police work. IF you are chicken and want to be in law enforcement try parole officer or prison guard. If you are chicken and just like to boss others around try kindergarden teacher.
The police have to take risk. Some police will be injured and even killed. That is pefereable to police killing unarmed citizens in their homes. So CHICKENS stay off our police forces.
