In about "89 we were a couple of years into our South Pacific/Southeast Asia Sailboat trip. Sailed from Brisbane area of Australia up to Singapore (magnificent street food).
Poked our way up to Port Klang - (Kuala Lumper, capitol city)
where we hung out at the Royal Selangor Yacht Club - Royal means Sultan of Selangor, not queen.
Worked our way via coast to Phuket - lasted a couple more years and became sensitized to hot, humid Singapore weather.
Put boat up for sail in Singapore (lousy sailboat market) amd slowly made way home (I love Hong Kong)
