As we settle into the nighttime of dispair, fret not, for the Sun will rise again!
Good morning!!
We, here, will never forget those who gave their lives on September 11, 2001, as we seek to protect the Republic from all who will do her harm.
The New Jersey legislature passed a bill allowing gays the right to have civil unions--"marriage" in the Newspeak dictionary of the left. The governor has said he will sign the measure.
Fidel Castro is reportedly near death, with maybe, on the outside, months to live. A delegation of ten Congresscritters is headed to Cuba to meet with his brother, who is "Acting President".
Senator Tim Johnson is in stable condition at GWU Medical Center. DemoncRATS are, as a result of his illness, likely to push for a rules change while they control the Senate regarding how an evenly split Senate is to operate as opposed to the power-sharing arrangement of 2001.
Senator Kerry, who is not at Tan Son Nhat but rather in Cairo, said the United States should talk to Syria and Iran and that we are losing the war in Iraq because we are not.
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
YIPPEE for you! Way to go!
Toby, Toby, Toby, you are doing a good thing.
You know that I am praying for you.
No snow on the ground here.
Same folks who claimed Bush had dropped oil prices before the election. I wanted to ask them today when he was going to put the prices high again but forgot.
No snow on the ground here, either. It was 60 degrees yesterday. I've spent a good part of the day standing on my head digging in cupboards in the utilityroom, so I honestly can't tell you what the temperture is today.
I ran to town once this morning without a coat.
lysie, hope you are feeling better. Did Greg bring home something good tonight? Eddie just called and he's running late. Had to take care of something at work. Right, like I believe that this time of year!!
what happened to my changes???? I know I proofed this....
Yes, Greg is buying fish. He called from Albany around 3:00pm so he should be pulling in soon.
This is GREAT NEWS!
Pinged you to the prayer thread for kay.
BBL Going to rest for a moment.
Just watched part of Rummy's speech - how I admire that man.
Think he has had a bad deal (PR) he was sent to clear up the Pentagon, build up (and change) the troops after X42 decimated them.
God bless Rummy and God bless America.
I just called her and learned that she is okay. Her power is out but it is supposed to come back on at 6 tomorrow morning, and she will be posting here then.
Last night, she said, the winds were 114 mph (I can't even imagine that!), and trees came down that were so huge that the men w/power saws have been unable to saw them. All roads are blocked/closed.
Her daughter is w/her tonight for a "girls' night" since bevalar has a wood stove for heat but her daughter doesn't.
Tonight, the winds have calmed down, she said, and she is fine.
I know that all of you will be as relieved as I was to know that she is safe and fine.
Good nightk talk to you tomorrow.
Thanks for the Bev Update, Cm. I've been thinking about her all day. Some of the news clips they showed today were scary.
Terrific. So you will be getting the children sooner than you had anticipated. That's wonderful news. They need to be in a stable, loving home asap and NOT in one of those what I call "storage shelters".
I'm so happy for your whole family. I know you will enjoy having them with you - especially you, GC, because you'll have more kids to spoil!
Thanks for letting us know that Bev is okay. When I heard about the winds in the Northwest, my first thoughts were about Bev.
So glad to know that she is okay and is having a "girls night" with her daughter. Wood stoves are lifesavers when its cold.
