Now she's in big trouble on a "won't get in the trailer" thread...
I'd help, but I'm just taking a short break from my mowing ;~)
That dog is too cute! :-)
We could use some good wishes and prayers out here. The Angora Fire has jumped lines and is making a run. More mandatory evacuations. Thank God, so far no deaths.
Yikes Duchess... this is near you? How far?
The fire is burning in the Tahoe basin which is full of dead and dying trees which enviromentalists have blocked cutting so it's a tinderbox. Also limited roads off the mountain. Very, very dangerous for the firefighters and the people living up there. Over 200 homes burnt so far.
OK - I have been seeing that fire on the news... just wasn’t sure if you were talking about another one close to you.
No, nothing close to me. I have friends up at the lake, although most are on the north side. Lake Tahoe has always seemed like it should be one of the Wonders of the World - it’s really hard to watch it burn.
I bet. I hope they can get it under control soon. I didn’t realize Lake Tahoe was that close to you... 50 miles?
:) Less than that by the crow flies mileage - probably about 30-35.
Oh such a cute little guy, I love his ears in the first picture:)

Hey, thanks for the heads up:) wish I would have noticed it earlier today when I was bored:)
I swear, those people over there just have “feelings” oozing out of every pore in their bodies, ick:)
Becky
Ok, Duchess...keep us updated.
Becky
She hasn’t gotten the next one yet, but will very soon I’m sure. We have to go to Tulsa to get it, and we don’t go very often.
Becky
Will do. I think it’s live on and off on Fox and CNN.
This is a momma camel:
And this is her baby that is getting close to 3 yo.
Becky
LOL - what on earth are they doing in OK?
Huh - are they trained? Any idea what they do with them?
Is that just mud on her? New mud, or is she always that matted?
You might find this one interesting too:)

I have no clue how trained they are or what they do with them other then have them penned up during the Pumpkin Festival where people can get up close to them. The man that owns them runs the Pumpkin Festival.
It looked like mud to me, they always look pretty dirty, but they also have shaggy hair under it too, so it maybe a combination. We have had a lot of rain, and there is a lot of mud out there. There are also donkeys, and llamas in the field with these two.
It seems funny to me too, there are another pair of camels on the road you go down to go to my kids house, and it’s on a main road, and the camels are in like the front yard of the house. Funny that in a little town like Bixby there are two sets of camels people have as pets.
Becky
I have no idea, but they are funny looking aren’t they:)
I remember the first year the baby was at the pumpkin festival, he/she was so cute, I’d never seen one so tiny.
