Maybe play some games with them first :~)

Bay's just so beyond broke I never worry about him acting up. He might be fresh, but never unruly. I'd trailer him somewhere and get on him today and go. I've always made sure Cyn was lunged a few days and ridden here at home at least once after a winter off, but she's never been any trouble either. That's good!

Hey - forgot to mention, I think, that Tiff got on Tell, the black horse last weekend. Took him to a stable and rode him in the arena there. She said he was a lot to handle and a little jumpy, but she handled him fine. She said when she was done she tied him in a corner while she worked the others and he was good for that.

Tennessee was always good about being even tempered, even after a long layoff. He's a lot like Bay, in that he might be pawing the ground and dancing, but he wasn't gonna buck my butt off, even when he was a youngster. Now Bob's a different story. He's all piss and vinegar and will probably have a hump in his back for the first 30 minutes or so. Hope was the same way the last time I rode her, but I never lunge either one of them beforehand so I guess it's my own fault if they get the better of me one day. You'd think I'd wise up after a while, but so far nobody's been able to dish out anything that I couldn't take, so I guess I haven't been all that motivated to change my habits. My day's comming I'm sure, but hopefully they'll grow out of it before then. Old habits die hard.

I noticed that thread on the other forum about getting a new horse and that reminded me of this post of yours, about Tiff riding tell:).

That's great that she rode him...has she done any ground work or did she just climb on:). What did he do that made her say he was a lot to handle? I'm glad to hear she went to an arena.
