Oh yeh - I have a very hard time not getting nasty. Come on, let's keep the horse and lose the house and starve the kids. Some of these people live in lala land :)

They need to take a shot at being a single parent for awhile, it might open their eyes a little. What will they do if the choice is between buying hay for the horses or food for a child or making a mortgage payment.

I'm gonna have to stay off that forum, those people are just too nutty.

The horse.com forum bit about not ever selling a horse made me think of what happened the other day at work. We got some lab results back for a client's horse, and I had to call the owner to ask for a pharmacy number to call in a prescription for thyroid meds. The lady asked if I could call it in under another (people) name so that it could get covered by that person's insurance, because she was saying that they had no money. So I argued with her, and said no because of licensing etc. So she got mad at me and finally agreed to pay for the medication herself. But my thought is, if you don't have the money, don't have the horse It's not fair to anyone involved, person or horse. Especially the horse. I don't think that I'm being rude or callous or elitist in saying this, because I myself don't have enough money, but at least I realize that....
