I have to imagine Hagar would be part of the induction

I tried really, really hard to like that new VH version but I just couldn't. They lost me with him.

Oh, I hated him. They were never the same. I'm not a heavy metal guy at all (big, big R.E.M fan from the second album on, for reference), but Roth was so over the top, Eddie so good and their songs solid enough that I couldn't help but respect them. Hagar made them just like any other 80s mediocrity.

Hagar is GREAT as a soloist.

DLR is GREAT with VH.

Hagar was mediocre with VH.

Roth was mediocre as a soloist.

Me too. Van Halen is only Van Halen with David Lee Roth, IMO. I prefer Sammy as a solo artist.
