Donald Trump Writes Letter to Rosie O'Donnell, Bashes Barbara Walters

In a saga that just won't die, Donald Trump wrote a letter Tuesday to Rosie O'Donnell in response to media reports of her blow-up at Barbara Walters, telling her she had the right to be angry and saying Walters "lied to both of us."

The tone of Trump's Jan. 9 letter, sent to FOX News and other press outlets, is snide — and some of his allegations about Walters' recent grumblings over O'Donnell, whom she hired last year to be the moderator on "The View," are shocking.

"In fact, she lied to both of us!" Trump wrote in the one-page letter, which he sent to O'Donnell at ABC Studios in Manhattan. "After your maniacal and foolish rant against me two weeks ago, Barbara called me from her vacation (I did not call her) in order to apologize for your behavior. She had heard that I was going to retaliate against you and tried to talk me out of it."

Trump claims Walters tried to persuade him to come on "The View" when she returned from vacation so that she could "patch things up," but he said no.

"To be exact, she said that 'working with her [O'Donnell] is like living in hell' and, more pointedly, 'Donald, never get into the mud with pigs' and 'don't worry, she won't be here for long,'" Trump wrote. "Barbara knows exactly what she told me over the phone and she has to live with it."

I'm with you, I like that Elizabeth girl. Of course, I have only watched portions of 2 shows. I just can't stand Rosie. The others on the show are appeasers. They never "really" say what their view is. I think they are all afraid of Rosie. She is like a firecracker waiting to explode!

If only Elizabeth wasn't so young, she might have the experience and boldness to stand up to Rosie. I think she wants to but she doesn't know how to do it. She probably goes home at night exhausted from having to be on edge next to Rosie. She might consider suing Barbara WAWA for creating a hostile work environment.

Trump says exactly what he thinks. That's what makes his show watchable. Rosie says exactly what she thinks. That's why it's irresitible to watch her. Walters doesn't say what she really thinks when in public. That's why she needed Rosie.

Rosie will always be employable because of her ability to get attention. Trump will always come out on top because he is honest and fights out in the open. Walters is going down because she lied to be friends with everyone. And lied to two people who say exactly what they think.

I always prefer people who act the same, talk the same, to every person they meet. Straightshooters. That's why Trump liked big mouth Frank and fired mealy mouthed Martin.

Next time they have one of those celebrity boxing matches, they should make these two the main attraction.

Frank was the mealy mouthed one, wouldn't shut up but kept changing his story. Like when he called martin brilliant, Trump said that was stupid, so then Frank said "I only meant on paper" and when Trump said credentials on paper are important Frank said that's what I meant. Martin on the other hand held his ground throughout.

My main reaction was to Ivanca, once she viciously said she didn't like anything about Martin, didn't like the way he talks, and couldn't see him ever working for Trump, there was no way daddy was going against his little girl. And I'm sick of hearing that Ivanca should be respected because she went to college, apparently her only credential beyond being daddy's girl.

Joy is a fraud, she sways like the trees in the wind...she's so phoney you can see right thru her....

Elisabeth is honest, sincere and very young. She will learn alot of lessons from all this for her remaining years in life...

Rosie is trash and always has been...she will go on dealing trash where ever she goes and whatever she does...

The Donald didn't get to where he is by being stupid...he will be the winner in all of this...he is liked by alot of people, he's classy, he has the ability to call a spade a spade and people like that...

There is no way that guy Martin could work for Trump. His personality is not what you find at the Trump Organization.

First, I am curious if you ever work with the Trump organization or are you basing this on TV? Second, I'm sure you're right and that neither one of these guys will win the show. But Frank was a yelling lunatic, I hope for Trump's sake that isn't how his people behave.
