I understand that Bubbah has been working the phones soliciting funds...and who knows what else...for Hillary. Looks like these 2 are determined one way or another to return to public housing/the WH.
After reading that article you linked, MM, I now know why I did well in college. (I don't remember my dad ever praising me for making good grades. He expected me to do so. Period.)
As a naive girl from a small town and public school, I was mightily impressed w/the questions, comments, and class participation of students from other states in my freshmen college courses. I remember thinking that I needed to bear down if I was going to make it, so I studied to 'catch up'.
Imagine my surprise to learn much later that I was making better grades than these students were. In freshman English class, I labored over and over to get beyond a B grade on my compositions.
One day while writing still another essay in class, the professor went round the room returning our last compositions. He reached over my left shoulder and placed my last composition squarely on top of the one I was writing, and when I saw that it had an A- on it, I glanced up at him....must have looked startled...because he smiled!
I valued that smile even more than the grade!
Congratulations on your 'A'. When you work for something the reward is so much more important than when the reward is handed to you without your effort.
When I was a junior/senior in college, I was in a discussion class with about 12 other high level, including grad students in a history class. One morning, our professor was running late, so we started the debate on our own. She walks in and we're deep in the middle of our own argument. Then her husband, who was a fellow history professor, walks in, and she tells him that we started the debate on our own. He does a jig right there. It was hillarious...
