Yep, I remember when MTV actually played music, too!
I fell in love with Duran Duran watching MTV as a teen! *swoon*

Now that you mention it, she was kinda hot, but I thought she was really annoying.

Kennedy is a conservative, or was last time I heard something about her.

I've heard Loder is your basic tax/gun/drug libertarian as well
To: Terabitten

Former MTV veejay and television talk show host Kennedy has always said she's a philosophical libertarian and a registered Republican. She even has a pink Republican elephant tattooed on her upper left thigh. But Kennedy's allegiance to the GOP may be fading somewhat, if her comments on MSNBC's Scarborough Country (November 17, 2004) are any indication.
Emphasis mine
Love that sexy librarian look :-)

John Cougar opened for Heart in 1983. During the show he not only split his pants (wasn't wearing underwear), he played a boombox tape of a new singer who he thought would be big. He said his name was Prince. Those were the days.

My only awareness of MTV comes through seeing my son watching it when he was a teenager, which is now several years ago. Even back then, I wondered how this Kurt Loder guy could possibly remain on MTV, where he appeared totally out of place.
