Why not just say a prayer of thanks that we don't live like that, and a prayer for peace for the boy's mother and his family?

Don't rip some lady apart after her kid just died.

If a kid needs help, a kid needs help. Regardless of status.

This is less a rip of the lady than it is of the media trying to place blame where it does not belong. I doubt if anyone in here would search this lady out and give her grief for her failure to save her son's life.

"If a kid needs help, a kid needs help. Regardless of status."

And if his mother had taken him anywhere, he would have received help. The mother was negligent and accepts no responsibility. There was a time in this country when that was frowned upon by society. Now we should embrace the negligent mother and blame everyone else?

10-4. But it's not my fault if a kid I never heard of needs help and his mother doesn't get it for him. PMSNBC is suggesting that the kid died because of some inadequacy in the way the children of the poor are treated.

And you are falling for it - - responding to the tragedy, or rather pathos, and criticizing those who, being attacked by PMSNBC, respond by putting the blame where it belongs.

Where was the father? Is the Mom married or a widow? YES the kid needed help. But NO, we did not kill him and we are not heartless or morally wrong because he died, or because we understand better than PMSNBC where the blame should go.

Very true. But, that is not what the article is focused on.

It is a guilt trip for society.

I feel bad for his mother. She made many bad choices that left her in this situation, but she is still a human being.

Nevertheless, that is not what the article is focused on.

Simply put, it is the mother's fault this child died, so yes she needs to be held accountable. Ripping her apart on some MB is way less than she deserves.

She ought be jailed on negligent homicide charges and the other kids moved to foster care where someone can take better care about them.

Let's prioritize our praying here. She may very well need peace, but she really needs brains, intuition , and reasoning skills. The next choice would be immaculate sterilization.
If she were to have no peace but end up a better mother to the other child than she was to the one she killed through negligent stupidity, my prayer would be answered. Guilt and shame are often very helpful responses to tragedy. This used to be taught in church and practiced in society. One of leftism's objectives is to remove them.

AMEN!!!! This lady just lost her son, and all everybody around here can seem to do is rip her to shreds. I'm glad somebody around here has some compassion. May God bless this woman and her family.

Don't rip some lady apart after her kid just died.

I don't care what the headline says.
This is not a story about a boy dying; it's a story about placing blame.

People are responding to that.
