Dear Sir,

I am a 51-year-old single mother, writing from San Diego, California .

With all due respect, I am appalled at the judicial system in which Judge Gomez has granted attorneys the right to actually put on hold the inquest, stating : “allowing the inquest was flawed, because it was impossible to empanel a fair and impartial jury given the massive publicity”.

I have watched CNN everyday (practically all day) to get all the information I can about this particular case and Bahamian law, which I find quite informative. If you are not moving forward because of the publicity of this case and everyone knowing something about it, why does H K S (Howard K Stern) and his attorneys keep fighting every aspect of the inquest and paternity. They are making a mockery of The Bahamas. The notion of someone from another country along with his attorneys wanting to change the laws in your country... this alone tends to bring more Focus/Attention to the case. I sit here day-in day-out in disbelief that the judicial system has carried this thus far.

Question: If this continues the way it is heading, and the courts do not put some kind of resolution to the frivolous lawsuits and appeals, will The Bahamas become a “SAFE HAVEN” for abductors from other countries, including but not limited to the USA, to abduct children and flee to The Bahamas. Think about it... this can open a big can of worms. Also, food for thought... I hope by the Grace of God that everyone finds it in their hearts to bring this entire saga to a resolution soon. Pray and seek guidance from the Lord and unite this precious gift from God to be with her blood relative(s) albeit father, grandmother, etc.

That's how i remember it too. He's such a friggin liar. She was definitely not in control. He was controlling her via the drugs. Kept her away from friends and family. A virtual hostage. A virtual vegetable almost with the drugs. He tried to kill her baby when she was pregnant. This man is a sick sick person. And he's got custody (illegally albeit) of a baby. Why isn't this the most important issue on the table right now?

Take it with a grain of salt. Trisha saw that on the tmz board because I saw that too. Just like I saw the 9 year old daughter in Kentucky and the 2 year old son in California "rumors". Just anonymous posters saying things to be saying things. No biggie.

Thanks for letting me know. I thought, "I couldn't be hearing this nonsense." What is this guy's name - Mike Bryant? Is he dumb or on HKS team? I have heard him previously make some odd statements also. But I didn't think he was this inept.

*The baby remains in danger as long as she is around HKS and his life style. It is outrageous that she hasn't been removed yet.
*She hasn't been with her biological father - assuming it is LB - because HKS has fought the DNA tests and even took her out of the country.
*No way has HKS bonded with that baby. He doesn't strike me as the diaper changing type. The baby has a nanny. Incidentally, many children have had nannies with whom they spent most of their day, but that has not given the nannies any claim to the children.
*Children older than her have been adopted with no signs of trauma.
