Is anyone else excited to see Reign Over Me? It looks like the first good film in years.
A guy who lost his family on 9/11 meets a college roomate who tries to help him.
The official trailer is a little PC but the TV ads are great.
Can't wait to see this. Don Cheadle is probably the most talented actor right now. I wish he was a Freeper.
I think it looks like a good "dinner and a movie" movie
Don Cheadle is a fine actor. He ain't the one I am worried about in that movie....
Adam Sandler. I'm out.
Holy Peter Gabriel, Batman, thanks for the earworm! (I'm series - "Red Rain," cool song.)
Me too. I looked it up om IMDB.
Looks kind of PC and contrived.
Ummmm. Unless you saw a different trailer "Reign O'er Me" is originally from The Who.
If it looks even slightly PC, I assume it will be another lefty message film. I have walked out of enough lefty message films, they no longer get the benefit of the doubt. I don't want to be lectured by actors and directors for whom I have no respect, on subjects they do not understand.
Sorry, but the trailer does not look promising. Adam Sandler and Donald Sutherland? Not for me.
Unless it's based heavily on a true story, I have no desire to see a movie having anything to do with 9/11. It's funny how all those who want us to forget can tell us "it's too soon" when United 93 came out, but can make up a high-budget/bs/feel-good flick to serve their own agenda and line their pockets. From what I've seen of the previews, the message of the movie seems to be "move on." No thanks, I prefer to remember.
I have't seen the movie or its trailers at all. I was just reacting to the phrase that I know better from Gabriel (Red Rain) than from The Who (Quadrophenia)
I'd be a lot more interested if Adam Sandler weren't in it.
Touching film. Looked like it dealt with the issue of coping with terrible loss. I don’t usually like Sandler but I found him brilliant in this role.
Thanks.
