There could well be something at the Horizons. Enough evidenced exists to charge HKS and KE. Yet nothing is being done so far.

Just finished reading about Dr. Corbin that reminded me of ANS and Daniel. Two women associated with Dr; Corbin ended up dead. The first death of an ex-girlfriend was written off as a suicide and was never fully investigated until 14 years later when his wife died in a similar manner. Reinvestigation lead to murder conviction.

Afternoon, Sod. Taking a break from the garden. Starting autumn weather here and so hoping for a bumper crop of tomatoes. Have about 75 avocados dangling from the tree. Wish I could share them with my FRiends.
Anyhow, Sod, things quieted down on this thread this week. So I’ll contribute. I had discovered the CrimeLibrary site and was glad to see other people following this case. However, this thread is the best one, IMO, since we are here to be detectives, not to argue.
To respond to your post today, did Anna realize HKS was holding her prisoner? I have a divided mind on that. Anna was herself a grifter, a user, a moneymaker. Remember the lawsuit with the maid that she lost? And the way she reneged on the deal over the Horizon house? How about the unpaid servants?
So was HKS keeping her there against her will? I don’t think so. She may have felt or been convinced by HKS that she had to throw her lot with him. That he kept her stoned was verified by those 2 nannies. So clear thinking may not have been her strongest point in her last months. He said he did it because she had nightmares about Daniel, day and night. Maybe with her strong constitution and high tolerance, she had to be heavily sedated. I’ve never heard of such sedation in my life....still....no one was like Anna.
So you have to somehow wrap your mind around her good and bad traits in order to understand this story. I am hoping the inquest will be open to the news so we will get some answers as to HKS’s movements and behavior on Daniel’s last day. That will shed much needed light on the last months of Anna’s life.
Sometimes I wonder how Virgie could contain her heartbreak over the years, watching Anna self-destruct? I missed the funeral eulogies at the time. Do you think we have some links back in the old threads? I’d like to read hers and HKS’s.

I think we've all been "kind" to Anna out of respect for Virgie and Dannielynn. That's the way it is.

If such a thing existed, FS would be the only hope and he made Howard’s case for him on the stand so I wouldn’t count on FS for anything! Sadly, I think it is a Holloway repeat. The most we can do it continue to email the Bahamas and also campaign to cripple the corrupt government by damaging they capitol... tousism! Truthfully, I think it is pretty much hopeless. I think this one will take a lot of prayer and a miracle from above.

Virgie’s Final Words

As ANNA NICOLE SMITH was laid to rest in a pink-draped coffin Friday in the Bahamas, friends and family from all over the country came to pay their last respects. Our cameras were the only ones inside the service.

Dressed in black, Anna Nicole’s mother, VIRGIE ARTHUR, gave an emotional and heartfelt eulogy, stopping often to sniffle and wipe away tears, and calling Anna by her birth name, “Vickie.” Here is what she said:

“I want to thank you all for coming, and I want to tell everybody what a beautiful daughter I had. I was there when God gave you to me as a blessing. You were a beautiful baby and so loved. You grew up in a family of seven. We all loved you, and have so many stories to tell about you. (crying)

“So many great times, and so many fun times. We watched you grow into a beautiful young woman trying to make your way through life, stopping on each stone of life as if you were in a creekbed, stopping on each special stone that you picked to cross to the other side. To walk up the mountain that you were climbing, each creekbed and each mountain, then, different as you went through life. We watched you grow into a beautiful, caring woman, and we watched you stumble a few times, but you always got back up and carried on.

“So headstrong, you accomplished all the wonderful dreams that you wanted and hoped as you were growing up. Somehow in the last 10 years of your life, we watched you struggle, trying to be strong, falling down but always seeming to manage to get back up. I know that you never meant to leave us, and I know you would have never left your baby girl.

“You have shown us that [if] you want something in life bad enough, you keep your eye on the ball, walk tall, walk proud, hold your head up high and never quit.

“So, Vickie, know that your family is here, we’ve always been here for you. We love you and we know that you loved us. Goodbye, my baby daughter.”

And also speaking tonight, Daniel Smith`s grandmother is speaking out for the first time. You know, I noticed in the article, on the front of your magazine this week, it says, “Was it murder?”

You also say in here on page 21, “Howard Stern gave us a much different account of what happened when Daniel died than the story he told on `Larry King,` says a Bahaman official.” What were the differences in what he told the officials and what he told Larry King?

WAKEFORD: Basically, the officials are saying that he`s basically saying a completely different story. He wouldn`t — the officials wouldn`t tell us the actual specifics, but it was completely different.

You will need a barf bag for the hate-filled speech HKS gave at the funeral. I tried to find some FR references for you (keyword for Anna funeral: cheetos) but there were 1000s of posts per day at the time.

The ET link doesn’t seem to work (or it knows it’s me and won’t show its face) so I don’t know what to tell you. I have it copied somewhere, but still having hand problems at the moment.

The funeral was on Friday, 3/2/07 and Virgie’s and Larry’s eulogies were on ET the next Monday and Tuesday, 3/5/07 and 3/6/07.

Thanks for the links. I watched the eulogies. Virgie’s was appropriate. But Howard’s demeanor and words were so defensive and angry that it was more about him than about Anna. He is a very disturbed person, about something.

IMO, one shouldn’t confuse Kapoor’s methadone rx with the methadone ‘pills’ prescriptions that the Shelleys and Payne confirm ANS had (IIRC Shelley discussed being told exactly how and when to give it to her when they picked her up) May 11, ‘06.

What is the significance of two ‘british’ drugs being ordered for ANS between 8/25 and 9/15? Who does that connect to?

What is the significance of Payne declaring both 10mg and 5mg, and KE’s requested 5mg?

What is the significance of an order for injectable methadone, (which non-empty jug is later photographed, in an unlocked frig, next to the bed, and within easy access of, a alleged ‘addict’ who was ‘accustomed’ to ‘swigging’ medication out of bottles? )

ANS goes from pills to injectable to pills again?
