If I had the ability to get to a WalMart and bring home a large item, not to mention the money to pay for same, I would be getting a microwave. Thanx for the info - Spot might find it useful.
I understand... but I wanted you to know about the Oreck model needing a filter, that is why I pinged you to it - just so you know about the Oreck model if you ever get the opportunity to purchase a air cleaner.
Have you tired looking at a resale shop or Goodwill for a used microwave?
Another option is to put up a wanted ad at your local grocery store looking for a free one...
Another thing is to also try Freecycle. (this would be perfect for you to try)

All you need to do is find one in your area and sign up for the emails. Put your email ad up looking for a free working Microwave and you might even be able to get the person to drop it off to you. (I see it all the time at my local freecycle group) - These days people have extra microwaves laying around due to getting married, or upsizing or downsizing from their current microwave.
