I didn't realize that honoring moms is not PC. Today's "Dear Abby" column (Abby is dead and her daughter is cashing in on the name), criticized the practice of a church that recognized their importance. Abby's problem is that it might hurt those who do not have children. She is a moron. People without children still have mothers, and most of them remember their mothers. Honoring mothers in no way dishonors those who do not have children. There are also Nobel prizes awarded. By her reasoning, none should be since it might hurt those of us who do not receive them.
poor Abby, she’s a victim of becoming so politically correct to suspected, potential or phantom special interest groups, that she’s lost all identity.
To criticize a congregation, simply for recognizing and celebrating the critical importance to society’s fabric, of the mothers within their own congregation, is just plain dumb.
