We have often wondered if Anna realized how evil HK$ had become - especially after Daniel’s death - and from the nannies’ report of Anna asking Howard “why are you still here?”.
Do you suppose she was able to get a phone call, a letter or email out of that prison to someone like Jackie or Peter or Ben Thompson - or even Virgie - that was recorded, copied or kept? We should have heard something if that were the case. What if she wrote a letter that is still hidden somewhere in Horizons? That would be so helpful for Daniel’s inquest or an investigation into Anna’s death. The Bahamians should have sealed that house as a crime scene - on the illegal Methadone & KE’s criminality alone!!!!!
Danny died in the hospital. Anna died in Florida. The Horizon isn't a crime scene. "My house, my stuff, my baby".....Amazing!
Just finished reading about Dr. Corbin that reminded me of ANS and Daniel. Two women associated with Dr; Corbin ended up dead. The first death of an ex-girlfriend was written off as a suicide and was never fully investigated until 14 years later when his wife died in a similar manner. Reinvestigation lead to murder conviction.
Afternoon, Sod. Taking a break from the garden. Starting autumn weather here and so hoping for a bumper crop of tomatoes. Have about 75 avocados dangling from the tree. Wish I could share them with my FRiends.
Anyhow, Sod, things quieted down on this thread this week. So I’ll contribute. I had discovered the CrimeLibrary site and was glad to see other people following this case. However, this thread is the best one, IMO, since we are here to be detectives, not to argue.
To respond to your post today, did Anna realize HKS was holding her prisoner? I have a divided mind on that. Anna was herself a grifter, a user, a moneymaker. Remember the lawsuit with the maid that she lost? And the way she reneged on the deal over the Horizon house? How about the unpaid servants?
So was HKS keeping her there against her will? I don’t think so. She may have felt or been convinced by HKS that she had to throw her lot with him. That he kept her stoned was verified by those 2 nannies. So clear thinking may not have been her strongest point in her last months. He said he did it because she had nightmares about Daniel, day and night. Maybe with her strong constitution and high tolerance, she had to be heavily sedated. I’ve never heard of such sedation in my life....still....no one was like Anna.
So you have to somehow wrap your mind around her good and bad traits in order to understand this story. I am hoping the inquest will be open to the news so we will get some answers as to HKS’s movements and behavior on Daniel’s last day. That will shed much needed light on the last months of Anna’s life.
Sometimes I wonder how Virgie could contain her heartbreak over the years, watching Anna self-destruct? I missed the funeral eulogies at the time. Do you think we have some links back in the old threads? I’d like to read hers and HKS’s.

If such a thing existed, FS would be the only hope and he made Howard’s case for him on the stand so I wouldn’t count on FS for anything! Sadly, I think it is a Holloway repeat. The most we can do it continue to email the Bahamas and also campaign to cripple the corrupt government by damaging they capitol... tousism! Truthfully, I think it is pretty much hopeless. I think this one will take a lot of prayer and a miracle from above.
