Mu ex would put his shaving cream, razor, deodorant etc on a window ledge in the bathroom—even with a large medicine cabinet RIGHT NEXT TO THE WINDOW. I solved that problem by emptying a whole box of tampons and lining them up standing on end on the window ledge
