They both met through motivational speaker thingy.... and both have lost a child -- even though she didn't lose Natalie due to her own hands in any way, she will forever wear guilt from allowing her to go... it's natural phycho babble stuff... and JR -- IF he is innocent will have similary issues... and that gives them a lot to talk about right off the bat... if it is enough to sustain a relationship long term -- who knows..

I liked Jug, but Natalie wasn't his child and rightly, Beth was consumed with Aruba and finding out what happened to her child. I think at some point Jug wanted a wife and Beth to put this behind her. She will never put it behind her.

Oh, and they are both Southerners... he in GA and Beth in AL... and both have one surviving son.
