Live in sin and pay the price (Prince William's "practice chick" was too common for royalty)

But dynastic considerations were such that the pool of applicants is fairly small (and shallow).

And usually related to you via at least a dozen methods. Royals don't have family trees, they have family bramble thickets with branches crossing far too many times.

One thing that drives me nuts are all the young women who swoop the ends of their sentences into interrogatives.

I ABSOLUTELY HATE THIS!

It is probably my worst pet peeve. It makes women, and the men who do it (yes some guys talk like this), sound so weak, unassured, and stupid. I have a young niece who is brilliant, yet she talks in this manner, and it makes her sounds so stupid. ARGH! Her younger brother speaks this way too, and while he IS stupid, it makes him sound like a major leage wuss..

When we visited our ‘Yankee’ cousin, who had grown up in Providence, after not having seen him for over 10 years, we were amused that he and his friends would say, “Please?”

Did your cousin spend much time in Cincinnati? Saying "Please?" is very common there.

So shallow, an ant wouldn’t get his ankles wet . . .

I’m so glad we rebelled from these clowns.

I thank God and our Founding Fathers.

Cheers,

Brits are weird

Well, the ‘royalty’ sure are. Years ago the Queen visited a hospital where my sister-in-law was a nurse. The staff was instructed to say NOTHING to the Queen whatsoever, unless the Queen said something to them. The Queen came right up and stood next to my sister-in-law, next to the bed of a very ill child, and ignored my sister-in-law as though she didn’t even exist.

I’ll bet Laura Bush would have given my sister-in-law a great big smile and at least have said, “Hello”.

THAT’S why we are America, where we’re ALL human beings.

No, he was born and raised in Providence RI. His Mama was my Mama’s sister, born and raised in MS. She met and married my Uncle, who was born and raised in Providence, but when in the Army, trained at Camp Shelby, just South of our hometown. That’s why we hardly ever saw them. Back then (in the 50’s and early 60’s) it was much more difficult to make a trip from RI to MS, so we only saw them once from the time the youngest in the family was born until my sister and I traveled with my Aunt and her six kids to RI to visit with my Aunt, Uncle and cousins. I guess we must have made an impression on my cousin and his friends, because after not being sure where they wanted to go to college,(they had just grduated high school) he and two of his friends decided to come to school in MS, to the college I, my sister and our girl cousins were attending in our hometown. It was fun getting to know him.

I see Camilla as the ultimate shack up and all the U’s certainly toady up to her.

I hope William doesn’t repeat his father’s mistakes and marry at a later age to a young woman he neither loves nor really desires. I also hope Kate isn’t his Camilla. Quite
frankly I think she is well rid of him and his whole dysfunctional family.

I thought it was hilarious one time when the queen was visiting here and was taken to a project someplace in the NE, (maybe Philadelphia), and a big black lady grabbed her and hugged her. You could see her stiffen.

I had forgotten that! As I recall, the look on the Queen’s face was one of complete horror! LOL

And as my grandmother observed, “why buy the cow”, etc.
