Probably the latter---she didn't want to take his call. From the sound of it there's no telling what he's put her through before this.

Or maybe, I don't know, she was sleeping LOL? That's where my 11 year old daughter is at 10 PM. Who in the world makes a phone date with a child that age at 10 PM? He couldn't have woken is behind up 2 hours earlier?
