The lake has a spillway, so yesterday after the horrendous rain stopped, the lake did go down a bit. It’s still full to the brim and with each rain the water from the surrounding hills flow into it. The ground is saturated and we will be getting rains until about Thursday.
Yes we are on a high spot. Thank goodness. A lot of our streets were flooded and there are still flash flood warnings out for the country roads. This is a pretty old town and some of the sewer lines are as old as the town, so consequently some of the streets did flood.
