He arrived at the hotel room, where our cameras were set up, in a T-shirt and jeans. "I'm nervous," he said, surveying our lights and camera equipment. "I've never done anything like this before."

From some of what I read, pitt bulls enjoy fighting and the most unnatural thing you can do with them is try to make house pets of them; that would say that dog fighting simply needs standards and reasonable rules. The one other reasonable thing I know of which people do with pitt bulls is hunt hogs with them, which is basically a redneck olympics event of sorts.

You really meant to write unreasonable, right?

One the best thing any one could to temper a pit bull is cross breed it with another type, or hyper vigor.

I would rather have a heinz 57 than any other type of dog.

I had one a child, it had german shepherd in him, it’s mane was like that horse. That was most loving dog who never had any health problems.

I think pure breeding is cruelty.

Oh yeah, sure, just as they enjoy receiving electric shocks from sub-human vermin to force them into fighting if they are reluctant, but also to make them experience pain so they will lash out in confusion at whatever may be around them that could be causing it.

Or how these worthless depraved human scum steal pet dogs to use as PIT BULL BAIT.

They take a friendly animal, duct tape it's snout shut rendering it completely defenseless and then after antagonizing the pit bulls by electroshock, toss the helpless pet dog into the ring for all the pit bulls to attack to work them up into a blood rage.

Another sports site recently had a story on a heavyweight boxer who purchased one dog per day, duct-taped it's snout and tossed it to his dogs to be helplessly ripped to shreds - for "training".

The heavyweight boxer fortunately is now a paralyzed vegetable but he should suffer much, much worse for this cruelty. I have a good suspcion of what will be his own fate, each day in hell.

I ordinarily refrain from such commentary, but in this instance I suggest that you and your friends look into a promising career as pit bull bait.

Those dogs don't get asked if they want to fight and DIE...and why are you making excuses for Vick?

According to what I've heard on several ESPN Radio talk shows, if the police do implicate Michael Vick as being associated with dog fighting not only will NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell likely impose a pretty severe suspension (likely one year minimum), but you could actually see both the Atlanta Falcons cutting Vick from the roster and Nike ending their endorsement deal with Vick in very short order.

A major shame, too--Michael Vick had the potential to be an all-time great quarterback.

Well, ya know, I had Vick two years in fantasy football...and he just sucked. As a dog enthusiast and dog owner, it’s now damned easy for me to hate him even more! To hell with him...he’s worthless in many ways.

I guess their best strategy now is to tank the season and hope they can draft Brohm next year.

ESPN’s Inside the Lines showed the captured dog fighting video today complete with the blood curdling audio. They also had a confidential FBI informant who’s dogs actually fought Vick’s dogs. According to him, Vick is one of the “heavyweights” in dogfighting.

The videos were gruesome to say the least. They made me extremely angry. If it is true that Vick is one of the “heavyweights” then I hope he spends some time behind bars and is kicked out of the league for good.

“Ron Mexico” (aka Michael Vick) is a thug, pure and simple.

Especially when you consider that they may well have had to draft a running back in the first round next year...

The top RB on the board in 2002? Why, that would be one William Green. Ask the Browns how he worked out.
