Person of Interest Held in Case of Missing Washington 12-Year-Old Girl [found dead]
Fox News ^ | July 12, 2007 | Fox news staff

The person of interest is a 42-year-old sex offender from Thailand. He's currently being held for failing to register for an immigration violation and denies any involvement in Zina's disappearance.

A search warrant reports investigators on Monday found a girl's undergarments at his home, where he lives alone. He responded to that news by saying he was remodeling the home for his sister.

To all the knee-jerk reactors on this thread...

The perp is a legal immigrant who has been here for YEARS. Sorry to burst your bubble, but George Bush and Michael Chertoff had nothing to do with him not being deported after his conviction in the 90’s. Somebody sure as hell dropped the ball, but it wasn’t them.

That said, the perp should be placed in prison, in general population, for a very long time or as long as he lives, which ever comes first.

Signing off now.

Well, under normal circumstances I share the road. Critical Mass is anything but normal.

How many more little girls' bodies are going to pile up before we get the attention of the worthless traitors in the Senate?

*sigh* as long as it isn't their daughters, there is no limit.

Easy for you to say. Your daughter wasn’t murdered by an alien who should have been deported. Bush and Chertoff are part of the problem. They know that illegals outnumber ICE agents 10,000 to 1 and alien fugitives outnumber ICE agents 300 to 1. They have allowed this imbalance to continue for years.

I don’t know whether local police notified ICE about his conviction for incest, but when ICE is outnumbered so overwhelmingly, some things are going to be neglected.

Before the Senate amnesty bill was defeated, Chertoff said that they “really needed” the 4.4 billion that Bush offered to get votes for the bill. If that money was so important, why doesn’t he lobby congress to appropriate the money in a separate bill? My opinion is that he wanted amnesty much more than any enforcement provisions.

“The Pierce County man, 42, was arrested Monday after Tacoma police identified him as someone who hadn’t been deported after being convicted of a felony, said Lorie Dankers, spokeswoman for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Federal law mandates that all aliens convicted of felonies be deported to their home country.

Dankers couldn’t explain why the man hadn’t been deported after serving prison time. She said immigration officials learned about him from Tacoma police.”

One of my best pals is married to a daughter of LEGAL immigrants from Ukraine, fleeing Time Magazine’s one-time man of the year, Joe Stalin. While he and his eldest son were working on the family’s log cabin in the Cle Elum area (central WA state), his wife spent the week of July 2-8 at a Ukrainian-American scout camp at Cle Elum’s “Flying Horseshoe” Ranch. Hundreds of Ukrainian-Americans from all over the country attended. I just can’t imagine the inner-most thoughts of the parents of all these Ukrainian-American kids, but I have to believe that at least some—if not most—of them feel the same way you do. I sure do, as well.

Like I said, it was years ago. Long before Bush and Chertoff took office.

They have nothing to do with this particular case, and the people on this thread who immediately assumed they did are WRONG.

I’m not making a judgement on the merits of any other case that is ongoing now. I’m speaking of this one.

Not only is the man an alien felon, sex offender, he is a registered voter in WA State. I bet he voted for Gregoire, the fraudulent governor.

>>Like I said, it was years ago. Long before Bush and Chertoff took office.<<

Point taken. However, we don’t know if the feds had information that he had moved without sending in the required change of address form. In a country which had control of its immigration policies, had enough agents, and cooperation between local and federal authorities, (we have none of the above) an audit should have revealed that he should have been deported. I doubt that his visa was valid for 17 years with no renewal necessary.

Presidents from Reagan to W are to blame for this, but Bush and Chertoff brought this to our attention by pushing amnesty (with a hypocritical promise of enforcement) so hard, so the ball is in their court. I am not holding my breath until they decide to do what is needed.

This is just horrible. Stories like these want me sometimes to just not even watch the news. Chertoff and our government also deserve blame. In our area who have violent crimes disproportionately committed by illegal aliens and immigrants - obviously stricter criteria is needed as to who is allowed into this country.

From Michelle Malkin:

“Bad timing award goes to Democrat Washington state governor Christine Gregoire, who is leaving on a trip to lobby for open borders. How politically stupid and insensitive can you be?”
