welcome!

imo, thread three is probably the best place to start - by that time, a lot more information was being made available and it became easier to put two-and-two together and start seeing the discrepancies. It’s a ton of posts, but well worth 1/2hr or so a day - you’ll be an ‘expert’ in no time :)

glad to have u here!

12:17 HKS made a call to Mark Dekema. Per Mark Dekema HKS called incessently before the appointment - needing directions and asking questions about work on boat - called him 5 times between noon and 1

1:15-1:22 HKS calls Mark Dekema HKS ends call abruptly saying he had to take another call

BUT HE CHECKS VM

Stern was on the 40-foot boat, speaking by phone to the broker who sold it to him, when he got a frantic call telling him that Anna Nicole had collapsed in their Hollywood, Fla., hotel. “He suddenly said, ‘I gotta go!’ “ said the broker, Mark Dekema.
V&G Yachtworks owner Vince Pyle told The Post that one of his workers was at sea with Stern, giving him a trial run on the used, 10-year-old boat “when Howard got the phone call.
“The minute he got the phone call, Howard said, ‘Oh, my God, I need to get back to the dock right away! My wife is in trouble!” Pyle said, quoting his worker. “He told [the worker] who his wife is. They went back to the docks, and [the employee] helped him off quickly.”

Mar 09th, ‘07 - tony potts: Real quick, back to the timeline. I went to the marina where Howard was the day that he arrived for that boat. He was there slightly before 1:00 o`clock.

Todd Smith, who is the guy who was going to check out the boat with him, arrived about three minutes afterwards, and they talked for about five to ten minutes, which at that time, Todd Smith tells me that Howard received a phone call, which if you push it — just pad it, say 1:15 — at that time, Howard — I said, What happened? Howard got in that town car.

this has been bugging me for a while:

Bonnie Stern:

March, ‘06 - Bonnie Stern: “When I spoke to (Smith) in March, when she found out she was pregnant,
I took her shopping, and she told me the baby was due in mid-October, and that one other person could
have been the father and that was LB, but nobody else.”

Aug 26th, ‘06 - Bonnie Stern: receives email from Anna - Anna tells her she was due in 2 weeks, but shuush
to Howie’s parents, don’t tell them yet..(source New York Times)

If Anna had told Bonnie in March, that she was pregnant, and didn’t tell her to ‘shuush’, why would anna wait
until August 26th, to tell Bonnie that she was ‘due in 2 weeks, don’t tell’, and tell her to ‘shuush’ then?

It makes no sense to me. Anyone else?

Could it be the first attempt and subsequent *miscarriage* that Brikhead referred to?

Thanks, but no, they’re not going to have a walk-in clinic in my Walg’s. *frownie face* Boo hiss.

Felt silly because everyone else was in shorts and t-shirts - while I, of course, had on a Halloween sweatshirt with black wool gloves to match, lol. The hands have gotten pretty awful looking.

I was on my own - so spent what for me is a fortune ($60), just trying to get some better stuff to work with. Started with a non-soap hand cleanser (Cetaphil), thinking my normal soap might be adding to the misery. I was looking for any kind of medicated soap - I thought there was something like PhisoHex or Phex (??) that other kids used to use when I was a teenager, but I hadn’t used. Wasn’t sure if it is prescription, but couldn’t find it.

Then found an antimicrobial skin cleanser for scrubbing at hospitals - it’s red, called HibiClens. Also found a Neosporin cream instead of ointment, but got more ointment, too. Oh, and a first aid gel called StaphASeptic that cost the most, but sounded pretty good - and it has tea tree oil in it, which nothing else did. That one is the only product that mentioned MRSA, so I grabbed it.

Also need more gauze and realized I still need lots more, because these things are oozing and need to be covered, but changed out a lot. Also, a 2nd pair of the cotton therapeutic gloves, so I can wear one while the other pair is washed and dried.

Two days ago, I couldn’t wear them because of the terrible itching in the webs between my fingers - plus just having the gloves next to the inflamed skin on the outside (topside) was really bad, too. But I wrapped my hands and put them on, then the wool gloves over them, when I took the taxi a couple of days ago. That was more for skin protection than how they “looked.” I had gotten the 2nd hand’s breakout after the taxi ride before that one.

Anyway, I also read the info at the earthclinic link and decided to try the “turmeric” home remedy just for grins. I don’t have the kind of sores they described, but they said it was for MRSA-type infections. I just figured “what the hey?”

The many FReepers who’ve “talked” with me about this who have had the same thing have doctors who didn’t know for sure what it was, so I’m not the only one in the dark.

Not sure yet what to report about the turmeric, other than it tastes like doo-doo. It has only been one full day that I’ve taken the dosages. Not going to put anything weird right on these messes, but I can swallow a little spice that I already had - can’t believe it tastes so good in paella (my “poor man’s saffron”) but so bad by itself.

I know that the swelling went down and the pain isn’t as bad, but it all still looks horrific. Will reserve judgment until I’ve done a few days of my clean, clean, clean routine. And I love my bionic hand - the one with the really bad palm side finger infections - as it’s now usable again, with gauze wrap, a white glove (my Mickey Mouse hands, lol) and then a disposable plastic one on top, for in the kitchen. I can once again turn on faucets and open bottles and cut up veggies!

Oops, spoke too soon. Finger webs starting to itch badly again, even with the anti-itch stuff on them. Arrgh. BBL!

I think the email(s) to Bonnie just may be false info. The latter one sounded like it was written by someone else.

Aug 26: Why would you tell someone you were "due in two weeks" at this point in time? Wasn't this on or about the same day that the cache of drugs were ordered?

Was Howard just keeping busy....setting things up. Was the email some kind of code to Bonnie from Howard? Was it the date the C Section was scheduled?

When were Danny's plane reservations made?

Blueplum, thanks for the welcome. I will check out thread three this afternoon. Lots to absorb.

The weather isn’t looking good. Has anyone heard about the inquest being cancelled? I will be so disappointed if it is. It will take them six months to reschedule, as slow as they are.

Oh, forgot to *report* on the re-run of ET late last night. Two things:

1) They are plowing ahead on the assumption that the inquest is still a go, saying they’ll have their “full exclusives” of details starting today.

2) The little blurb I heard that mentioned Birkhead related to the Playboy party, but not quite the headline that Bria brought us! Instead of saying anything about Paris and Larry, they showed clips of different chicks, then a brief clip of Hef with Paris and Nicki, while they had a voiceover saying “lots of hot playmates and lots of celebrities were there ... including Paris and Nicki Hilton ... Larry Birkhead” ...

And lol, rather than showing LB with all the hot chix or with Paris and Nicki, it was a shot of Hef with LarrySue, tee hee!

***Has anyone heard about the inquest being cancelled?**

Don’t know if this *news* will have any influence - but it is very interesting!

http://bahamas.usembassy.gov/index.html

Ned Siegel confirmed as Ambassador to The Bahamas
On September 12, 2007.......Ambassador-designate Siegel will be sworn in by Secretary of State Rice in late October and will arrive in Nassau shortly thereafter to present his credentials to the Governor-General and assume his duties as Ambassador.

At 8AM EDT, the TS Warning is still in effect for the northwestern Bahamas (where Nassau, New Providence, is) and a hurricane watch has been added.

From the gizmo:
Given the current windfield (175 miles from the center), tropical storm winds will be felt in 8.7 hours (Tuesday, 4:42PM EDT).

The StormCarib Bahamas correspondent has checked in:

http://www.stormcarib.com/reports/current/bahamas.shtml

[snip]
“ ... Here in Nassau we are still waiting to see if its going to make a northerly turn which will bring it in close proximity to us. The government here has updated the islands status to hurricane watch and all the government schools have been closed in the southern islands and here in Nassau.
...
Its been reported that there has been heavy rainfall in the southerly islands so we’ve gotten the sandbags out here. ...”

Evidently some Bahamians didn’t want Siegel.

The embassy is being run by Florida developers and then we get hurt and have to go to them for aid. Something is not right here.

http://www.bahamasb2b.com/news/story.php?title=Ned-Siegel-is-New-US-Ambassador-To-Bahamas

He has outlined a number of plans to strengthen US/Bahamas relations during his testimony to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee last month.

Thanks! Have had a setback, after things seemed to be going pretty well. Hurting a lot now. Only common factor is the Neosporin. We’ll see.

*We* may have lucked out on the weather in Nassau:

AT 1100 AM EDT...1500 UTC...THE GOVERNMENT OF THE BAHAMAS HAS
DISCONTINUED THE HURRICANE WATCH FOR THE NORTHWESTERN BAHAMAS...BUT
A TROPICAL STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE CENTRAL AND
NORTHWESTERN BAHAMAS.

Just re-read this article. I thought this was written by someone else. Just an American democrat not wanting Siegel. Probaby because President Bush nominated him. Sorry.
