State Police are searching for the wife of a southwest suburban Bolingbrook police sergeant. "Because he's one of our officers, we thought it would be better to have an independent agency investigating," Bolingbrook Mayor Roger Claar said of the state's involvement in the disappearance of Stacey Peterson. It was not clear how long Peterson, the 23-year-old wife of Bolingbrook police Sgt. Drew Peterson, has been missing.
She was supposed to help a friend do some painting, but never showed up.
Drew Peterson's previous wife, 40-year-old Kathleen Savio, was found dead in the dry bathtub of her Pheasant Chase home in March 2004. The investigation revealed Savio drowned. Her fingertips showed pruning from being submerged in water and her hair was wet when she was found. A coroner's jury ruled the death accidental. State Police investigated that case as well. No charges were filed. According to one official, Savio was Drew Peterson's third wife, and Stacey Peterson is his fourth. More than 20 years ago, Drew Peterson was fired from the Bolingbrook Police Department after the village board of police and fire commissioners found him guilty of disobedience, conducting a self-assigned investigation, failure to report a bribe immediately and official misconduct. He had been indicted two months earlier on charges of official misconduct and failure to report a bribe. Peterson was working under the auspices of the Metropolitan Area Narcotics Squad at the time. Indictments alleged he solicited drugs in exchange for information about his agency. The charges later were dropped. Drew Peterson won reinstatement with the department in March 1986. Judge Edwin Grabiec ruled police and fire commissioners lacked sufficient evidence to find Peterson guilty of the charges. The sister’s friend Bruce was rather vague about the *painting* plans and it’s a little surprising that the husband would have allowed Stacy to participate in a *painting party* with another man...based on the claim that he watched her 24/7.
Stalking husband just reinforced by an anonymous friend who Greta just interviewed. (Looks like the next door neighbor).
Back to #3’s autopsy.
Drew Peterson’s wife Kathy #3 autopsy reviewed by Dr. Michael Baden.
Body showed bloody hair, bruising, lacerations. No alcohol or drugs. Normal heart & brain. No way a healthy young woman should have drowned.
Baden says, not an accident and should not have been described as such. New investigation should include a look at the medical examiner and the coroner!!!!!!

Well, I'm guessing she was no more than 20 when she was "naively thrilled" that this older man, a police sergeant, found her attractive. In other words, she hadn't yet gained the caution and wisdom which should come with adulthood. Assuming Tracy knew he'd been married three times before AND that wife #3 "drowned" in the bathtub, it would be interesting to know why she hooked up with him.

I know this is a serious subject...(hope Stacey Peterson is hiding out trying to get away from her creepy husband)...BUT everytime I see that open mouthed, arched-eyebrow photo of Ms. Grace...I just think she is in her ‘Def-Com 4’ mode. Nanc probably hyperventalated on this case...

Another wrong autopsy. Reminds me of Perper’s absurd conclusion in the autopsy of Anna Nicole.
I dunno if he did it or not but she almost has the big eyed look of the “runaway bride” of a while back. As I recall the boyfriend was a prime suspect off the get go only to find out well, she done runned away.

I remember as a child how much respect and faith my parents had in physicians and other professionals. It is apparent that integrity is an endangered quality throughout our professional classes and society in general. Shame on them and us!

I saw Dr. Baden and it is shocking that #3 was declared an accident.
Wonder where the first two wives are... Greta/etc should find them and interview.. could be very interesting..
FoxNews up = teasing that Drew Peterson asked for help moving a large item from the house - the day Stacy went missing.
According to info on this thread, she was 16 or 17 when he met her at a hotel she worked at (and he was working security).
Anyway, he was still married to wifey #3 and Stacey ends up pregnant with his child at 17 years old.
My guess is he caught her stealing or doing drugs and threatened to turn her in if she didn’t have sex with him.
Then, when she turned up pregnant, she needed someone to provide, and turned to him.
So, he gets rid of wifey #3, because she was already sick of him.
That is the ‘smell’ of things that I am getting from reading all the info on this case, so far.
No further mention of *a large item being moved out of the Peterson hom*
But Mark Fuhrman is obviously going to be a reporter on this case.
Jamie Colby repeated the statement that Drew Peterson made to her *he went to the airport to put a sticker on his plane* Much like Scott Peterson - he has to explain why he was at the airport if any witnesses show up!!!!
I believe Peterson and his buddy, Rick Sims - took a dead Stacy to the airport - were probably planning to drop her over a large body of water - but the plane didn’t have fuel or had problems...so they drove her to the woods and buried her.
He left the kids at home alone (Stacy’s sister saw them there and no cars in the driveway at 11:00 pm.)
At 2:30 a.m. next morning Stacy saw both cars back at the house.
From their photo together...he just looks creepy w/her.
If so, I'm not amazed. Is there some information about her background that could possibly explain her involvement with a guy old enough to be her father?
While the law says, "innocent until proven guilty", I don't think individuals are bound by that law. I think the majority who have read about this case believe her husband killed her, to put it bluntly.
Just the local media in Chicago. There were 5 of them on the weekly PBS Friday night talk show (Chicago Tonight, the Week in Review), and they all thought that since Fox News was covering this story, there was nothing to it and, "how could a police officer be involved in something like this?"
So, just like the local PD needed somebody else to do the investigation, the local media needs somebody to investigate the corruption that led to this story. In Chicago, the media is usually part of the corruption.
Oh, how we miss Mike Royko!
