I wonder if the Big 12 winner overtakes Oregon since they don’t have a championship game.<P.
Check out my new tagline. LOL!
Oregon’s remaining games:
@ Arizon
@ UCLA
Oregon St
I bet the Big 12 winner would overtake Oregon after the Big 12 Championship game; especially if it’s an undefeated Kansas.
Not suprised about CT, going down to 24 after losing to Cincy. Not good UConn Huskies. :(
I think they should require the Pac-10 winner to play the Big-10 winner in an extra game.
1. LSU loses to Arkansas or Tenn or Georgia
2. Oregon loses to Oregon State or UCLA
3. Oklahoma loses to Texas Tech or Oklahoma State, Kansas beats Missouri and then Oklahoma beats Kansas.
4. Cincinnati or UConn beats West Virginia
5. Ohio State beats Michigan.
If Ohio St beats Mich and Oregon wins out then maybe that RoseBowl will be a game for pre-season fav in next years initial poll.
Holy cow!
Oregon cheerleader Ping.
But I’m a Oregon State Beaver Fan.
Just wait til the Civil War!!
Trust me; those are the only good-looking women on campus.
“I think they should require the Pac-10 winner to play the Big-10 winner in an extra game.”
What, for the Pac-10 school to rout them yet again? One thing that’s great is that instead of Kent State, Akron, and Youngstown State, Ohio State gets to play USC the next two years. I can’t believe how little attention was given to that non-league schedule this year when Ohio State was rated number one. Amazing. It’s a disgrace for a supposed top program to make that schedule.
One thing you have to admire about USC is that they will play anyone, anywhere.
We are all Beaver fans if that is the demographics of your state.

Kind of goes for the whole Pac-10, pretty much every year. Great to see Oregon doing so well this year. Given how both Oregon and Oregon State were screwed out of national title shots a while back, I hope the Ducks can get the nod this year if it comes down to a close vote.
I think what Tressel is doing is he'll play these 2 games versus Ohio schools or MAC type schools and then one game versus a national opponent. What this accomplishes is that Tressel establishes a good relationship with Ohio high school coaches (as well as local college coaches) because this means that many Ohio high school players will get to play in Ohio Stadium atleast once during their college careers. You can't understand what a thrill it is for an Ohio high school player to play in Ohio Stadium. If Tressel has this good relationship with the Ohio coaches then he can recruit Ohio which in spite of what everyone say is home to alot of talent.
Of course I fully expect that if OSU beats USC next year or the year after (they also have a home and home with Miami FL in future years) then there will people saying "oh gee USC isn't that good."
But I think Tressel does this to keep alot of this money in the state of Ohio. Besides its not any worse than these SEC schools playing East Carolina or La. Tech or Samford (&Sons).
That is probably the weakest justification for that scheduling that I could ever have expected. I realize you are put in the unenviable position of having to come up with something, but you have to bring more to the table than that. And by the way, good luck beating USC. You guys and your buddies at Michigan don’t seem to do that very well, historically.
LOL. And most are from California.
As you should be. :-)
