There's lots of FR threads I skip because I ain't interested in those topics. I admire your willingness to jump in on one like this that you find so distasteful, but truly, we won't mind if you bail.

You seem to have missed my point. My post was not so much about Britney Spears in particular but about celebrity fascination in general. This has now got to the point that we have people famous for being famous. This is regardless or whether they have any talent or not. Recently I had to go back to my parent’s house to settle an estate. When cleaning out the attic I found a box of albums I had when I was 12 or 13. I had forgotten about this collection. What did I find? Well the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, the Yardbirds and many others of the same vintage. When I was at the age where people today are listening to junk like Britney I was listening to good music. Gee from Jeff Beck to Britney in 30 years. That’s regression!
