Grab your barf bag and take one of out of McCain’s column by voting for Romney. Remember, it is just the primary, and today it is down to McCain vs. Romney in FL.

Huck is a (edited for good taste). If he gets the republican nomination I will not be voting. Vote for Romney. He has the only chance to beat McCain, another (*****). Our only prayer of getting a somewhat conservative Supreme Court judge is with Romney.

Vote for someone to throw the party into a brokered convention. so whoever is not leading. At this point Romney has the most delegates, so - anyone but him. Not that any of the other three are someone I would vote for in the general, but to create a condition of no clear majority going into the convention.
Then we could walk out with J.C. Watts, or someone like him

Thats what I've been thinking. I really have a lot of respect for Duncan, and thus, his endorsement and his reasoning for the endorsement. I can't stand mccain, and everyone in this race is espousing ideas that don't jive with their former positions.
I wish my party would start pushing someone that deserves to be there.

Your core values/convictions will have to be the judge.
I support Mike because of his core values/convictions.

Huckabee is joined at the hip with McCain on global warming and citizenship rights for illegal aliens.
Here are the Senators who voted against the Cornyn amendment , which would have established a permanent bar for gang members, terrorists, and other criminals looking to snag a shamnesty visa. Republicans underlined:
Never forget McCain not only pushed the amnesty bill, he refused to allow exclusions for the worst of the lot. And he unloaded his infamous temper on his mild-mannered senate colleague for having the audacity to introduce this amendment.
Apologies to any who feel I am spamming this message on campaign threads, but it is an important message on a key vote which needs to get out.

That’s what I did because McCain is unacceptable, and it’s going to be a close finish.

Here are three ideas that might work for you (these are just general ideas, and certainly not specific to this race):
- You might try going through a list of issues that you find most important, and see whose positions matches your own positions better.
- Also, you might consider the character of the two men. Even if a politician's current positions seem to be a better match, if the candidate also has a history of changing positions on a whim then his current stances may not be indicative of future actions.
- Finally, I think that it is always worth considering if there is a compelling reason to vote against a candidate.
To: thehumanlynx
I was a Hunter hoper, then a Thompson hoper. I chose to vote Huckabee today. McCain is not a good choice for a Hunter supporter because of amnesty. Romney is not a good choice for a conservative ( see this thread for a good summary http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1961207/posts ). So I chose Huckabee. I think Guilianni will drop after losing Florida. So Hucks left and Hunter did endorse him. I have come to the same conclusion as Hunter. Hucks the best remaining candidate.

It looks like this in polling.
30.7-McCain 30.1-Romney 14.7-Frickin Guliani(snl ref.) 12.9-Huck 3.6-Paul
Although I like Duncans chances if brokered, I don't think its gonna happen. A vote for Huck at this point, I feel, pushes McCain forward. I dont want that, I dont really want anyone that is left.

I was going to vote in the Primary, but never received my absentee ballot, and now it’s too late. Looks like hanging chads isn’t the only Florida problem. Now I’m seriously considering changing my residency permanently to the other state I live in. I was going to vote for Romney, so vote in my stead, please.

No way Hunter endorsed Huckabee without being convinced Huckabee was real on border security. Huckabees plan on his website is clear and unambiguous. Build the fence. Stop illegals.

I’ll betcha a dime Huckabee’s voters are more committed than Guilianni’s and Huckabee comes in third.

Remember, Tom Tancredo endorsed Mitt Romney.
Duncan Hunter endorsed Huckabee for a few obvious reasons.
I called it weeks in advance, when all the Hunterites considered the mere suggestion utter blasphemy.
Hunter endorsed Huckabee for 3 reasons:
Evangelism
Abortion
“Fair Tax”
