I swear... I won't do a victory lap or anything, but I just want to go on record that I was the first one to seriously suggest that David Cook could win
American Idol, and he's been in my #1 overall position for most of the entire top-10.
I also called it for Jordin (S6) and Carrie (S4) in the years they won many weeks before the end, and I had Diana (S3), McPhee (S5), and Blake (S6) correctly predicted as finalists.
Which means next year, I'll be completely wrong. :)

Finally a rocker wins...best season ever!It was certainly better than expected. There was a lot wrong with this season (don't get me started) but looking back, this has been one of the better Idols overall. And what a great finish!

I think this year was tons better than last year. I just didn’t find any of them from last year that were Idol material. They all were just so-so.

He earned a theater scholarship to the University of Central MissouriThat's impressive. During the Mike Meyers/Love Guru segment last night, Cook seemed very at ease as an actor. He has a lot of potential, whatever he wants to do.
