Dittoes for Monday nights, if, for example, Heroes & Sarah Connor Chronicles are the big draws.

I think Chuck is back in its Monday slot this fall too. It is sort of semi scifi.

I started liking it. Adam Baldwin is one of my favorite actors, and he is enjoyable in this series.

You know, if they keep d!cking around, and wait until 2009 to film a [full] second season, then they're going to put another year of age on these actresses.

Summer Glau will be 27 in July, so the longer they have her pretending to be John Connor's high-school-aged sister, the more idiotic it's gonna look.

And Lena Headey will be 35 this October, which is about when gravity takes over, and chicks make the sudden leap from "hot" to "prunish".

If they don't film as many episodes as possible while these girls are still in their prime, then they're gonna end up with something akin to The Golden Girls on their hands.

The original BSG had a strong early Egyptian influence in their symbols, etc. The implication was that the early Egyptians were participants or descendents of the 13th Colony. However, when the BSG group did reach Earth, it was modern day America where they made contact.

I heard that the original BSG was based on Mormon pseudo-theology.

Has it been renewed for a second season in 2009?

[Connor Chronicles]

I don't know. I thought I heard it would not even be renewed after its intial run. I was surprised to see it on the Fall 08 schedule.

The original BSG was based upon 2 things... First Mormonism cause Glen Larson is a Mormon himself. Second around that time people believed in ancient astronauts. I think in the early 70’s Erich von Däniken wrote a book about ancient astronauts called the Chariots of the Gods.....

Yes. I said it was the Americanized version of the British drama.

Life on Mars - ABC description

Starring Jason O' Mara as Sam Tyler

The BBC version was good. I suspect to quirky for Americans. The premise is interesting, ABC screwed Lost up so hopefully they learned their lesson.

I happened to see the British series. It took some getting used to, but after a couple of episodes, I was hooked.

I don’t care for the Ashes to Ashes (female taken back to the 80s) as much. Gene Hunt has lost some of his rough ‘edge’.

I think there is a 3rd ‘season’ that will be shown on British tele this fall.

I have been watching several British programs. With the Am writer strike and the continuous reruns of the same stuff on cable, it is kind of refreshing to see some of the British programs.

I am hooked on Trochwood and Dr. Who - mostly because of the writers strike.

I had heard of Dr. Who for decades, but never got interested in it. It was not always broadcast in the areas where I lived.

Last year, kept hearing about Torchwood, so I finally watched a few episodes, liked it, and watched all the episodes. It was similar to Special Unit 2, which I really enjoyed.

After watching Torchwood, I watched a couple of Dr. Who espiodes and finally realized what Dr. Who was about. Now, I am watching the current season of Dr. Who.

Sara Jane is fun to watch, too.

Same here - only I also discovered this ITV series called Primeval, which is sort of like Torchwood meets Jurassic Park, and it’s lots of fun and a heck of a lot more family-friendly than Torchwood (no sex, no pushing ‘alternate’ sexualities, no swearing I could remember, minimal blood and violence, and DINOSAURS!!).

I’m also pretty pumped for Dollhouse and Fringe... along with SCC, Fox is gonna have a great fall lineup.

Speaking of Doctor Who, and great episodes, the mid-season trailer has me SO psyched for the next one (or two.. or rest of the season!) cause it looks like it might even be scarier than Blink.

I'm with you,I hate Donna too! The first day I thought I wouldn't like Martha but now I truly appreciate her moxie.

I wish you could have watched Tom Baker's Dr. Who.

Two of my favorite companions of the past are the primitive Leela of the Sevateem and greatly under appreciated young Adric of Alzarius with his badge for mathematical excellence.

Did anybody catch 'The Andromeda Strain' two-parter on A&E on Monday and Tuesday night? I dunno. Maybe it's just me. They were awfully faithful to the original source material, yet threw enough twists in it to set it apart somewhat, but the original '71 version just had more of a sense of urgency and suspense to me, even after having seen it a dozen times. The A&E version had this tempo and vibe that made me feel like I was watching one of those generic cable cop dramas the the wife drives me nuts with. LOL
