See, that’s why I pinged the poetry list. Or at least I meant to.

I know it sounds like BS, but I rarely drink enough to get a hangover.

When I do however, I depend on cold Coke, Asprin, a dark room and lots of TV.

The first person to mention work, sunlight, or makes loud noises gets the rubber hose treatment.

Cheers,

"Part of my issue is I am just not much of a drinker."

I'm a retired professional. I would have been a lawyer, but I was incapable of passing a bar. :-)

Coughlin’s Law: Beer is for breakfast around here. Drink or be gone!

Hydration. Even if you are peeing like crazy you are probably still dehydrated. Alchohol messes with permiability and osmosis and such... the short version is that you can need to go like a race horse and still not be fully hydrated. Drink water!

Time will cure the hangover, however watching the second hand tick by for a couple of hours while you’re feeling like shit may help you to recall the agony so you won’t have to repeat the process again this weekend.

An saline IV was always the fix back in the day.

Try some of the recipes the others have given you and tough it out.

Take solace in the words of Frank Sinatra (paraphrasing)

“I pity people who don't drink because when they wake up thats the best they will feel all day” :>)

Most hang overs are the result of dehydration, drink water or other thin liquids.

After getting somewhat hydrated, I always want really greasy food like Tex-Mex or a big ol' cheeseburger.

Take some Vitamin B-Complex also.

Good luck...the one good thing about a hangover is that you know you'll recover. :-)

If you want to avoid a hangover, never drink the last beer.

Exactly. Only one way outta this... cowboy up and go drink some more Shiner.

I was in Shiner, TX two weeks ago with a friend. We pulled up to a gas station, go in, and he ordered “Two Shiner blacks, two boxes of .227’s, and a pack of Marlboros... in the box.... TO GO!”

The attendant didn’t even bat an eye as he poured the drafts into paper cups and sacked up the ammo.

True story.

I love Texas.

Quit drinking.

I just realized why I haven't had a hangover since 1994.

I’ve heard that a visit to a sauna (if that is an option) will make your body metabolize/sweat out the alcohol toxins that are plaguing you more quickly.
