I suspected it was a hoax. You could tell by the photos.

Just a reality remake of one of the worst films ever.
“Krippendorf’s Tribe”

Thanks for the ping. Dan Rather would love it.
I was wondering how the one black guy got in the tribe. I thought it suspicious, but hey it was on the internet, so.....
I knew it... I’ve driven through this VERY neighborhood in Detroit. I thought it looked familiar!
I thought the polar bears and ice packs were a little out of place in the Amazon rainforest.....
Well, I hope that’s a hybrid at least!
“I bet their faces are red now.” Great comment! But better watch out or the Barry Hussein campaign will get you.

That one was a hoot. I remember all the Mother Earth types and envirowackos (who, by the way, were then predicting an Ice Age) were wetting themselves over how "this was the way man was supposed to live - in harmony with nature."
For those not old enough to remember, the Tassadays were a "newly-discovered" tribe in the Phillippines. Then some French reporter checking out the area noticed that the guy with the transistor radio in a nearby village looked just like the fig-leafed chieftan. He asked the guy, who was very open about it. He said that their Congressman told them their village would be famous and that they'd make a lot of money.
All those anthropoligists who waxed lyrical, and printed coffee table books about the tribe went into denial. I remember an incredulous TV reporter showing one author a direct comparison between the naked natives in his book and the townspeople in jeans and the guy just stonewalled. I think that was the first time I heard "Denial is not just a river in Africa."
Interesting article about it HERE
Tassaday = Tasaday
anthropoligist = anthropologist
(cough)
Wonder if José Carlos Meirelles suffered from a "Brain Cloud" too. ;)
Oh, no———lost latino tribe a publicity stunt?
Phooey.........and Juan McCain was counting on these votes, too.
The guy who dreamed up the stunt——José Carlos Meirelles is McC’s campaign organizer for Indigenous Tribes Voting Blocs.
Guess Jose’ll have to move on.
Maybe he could get a job doing map ads for Absolut vodka promos?
....snicker...
"Go McCain."
The Left does this stuff all the time. It will even fake hate crimes such as psychology Professor Kerri Dunn vandalizing her own car. Faking a lost tribe to “raise awareness” is par for the course.
That gentleman has the same body language as Baghdad Bob.
SEPARATED AT BIRTH FROM DIFFERENT MOTHERS?
;^)
The Nike shoes and Bowie Knives were a tip-off. But what really did it was the Chief wearing an Oakland Raiders jersey.
