I meant that in the sense that if 'you were stuck on a desert island,' it would be the book I'd like to have.

That's another idea for a great thread - "if you could only pick ONE book to take with you on a deserted island what would it be (or even top two books might make it more interesting)?" Maybe you or Steph will start it up. :)

Lovely Bones is very good - told from the perspective of the murder vicitim.

A Warning on the Williams Sonoma Holiday cookbook - if you make the Pumpkin Cheesecake for Thanksgiving/Christimas you will be expected to make it every year for every holiday and faces filled with great dissappointment will greet you if you don't. :)

This has been a great thread and I've gotten lots of great ideas for additional books I'd like to read. Maybe we can start an online freeper bookclub!? :)

Like you, I am not a King fan either; although, I was surprised to discover that he himself is quite a character.

Yes. Really proud of her too. Nine books and four New York Times Bestsellers. http://allisonbrennan.com/

Wow! That's awesome! Congratulations to both of you.

I haven’t read Charlaine Harris but I will look at her books as well as Matlock’s. Thanks!

I love Gone With the Wind, have read it so many times. I remember my first time reading it and how much I loved it.
Enjoy it!

Thanks for the warning on the cheesecake. :-) I hope I make it as well as you and that happens to me too!

I’m glad that you like the thread too. Your idea about the bookclub is a fantastic one. I thought of that too but didn’t know exactly how we would do that. I think it would be really fun.

You will make the cheesecake just as well! That's the beauty of following a formula - and having a spring foam pan! :)

We could communicate via email to discuss setting up an online bookclub if you like? I sent you an email with some other information so check your spam folder.

"Care to share the Great Pumpkin cheese cake recipe with us?"

Sure thing! I'm at work now so when I get home this evening I'll clank it out for ya. It's very good and I don't even like Pumpkin Pie! The Pumpkin Cheesecake is fabulous.

You are so welcome - and you will love it as an alternative for sure. I’ll post it for all of you then. You just have to promise to let me know how you like it, and what kind of responses you get when you make it. :)

I promise, though you'll probably have to wait till Thanksgiving season.

I'm into lemon chiffon pies at the moment, LOL.
