Dressed up to the nines and wearing plenty of make-up, Madonna still manages to look pretty sensational for a woman rapidly approaching her half century.
But bare-faced and in short sleeves, she reveals some of the gruelling health and beauty regime behind the glamour.
Madonna, seen holding hands with her daughter Lourdes as they left a Kabbalah centre in New York, wore a T-shirt which exposed the veins standing out on arms subjected to endless workouts.

As for Madonna looking close to 50, what sort of late 40s women have you been hanging out with? The only 50 year olds I’ve ever seen looking like that were very ill or had a history of substance abuse. My wife’s sisters are all past or approaching 50 and not one of them looks even half this bad.

Exactly. My friends and I are in our late 40’s and don’t look anything like that. Madonna looks horrid.
I saw her brother on Chelsea Lately the other day promoting the book. Another strange bird. Chelsea commented on the plastic surgery from the back f the book pic and her brother confirmed it.

I think she doesn't look very good in the body. Comparing her to 50-year-olds that I know, I don't think she looks all that bad.

Well, I don't know, Mr. Silverback. I can't read your minds. It just seems awfully mean to me, like people aren't allowed to get old. I was agreeing with another Freeper that it isn't nice to "have a laugh" at people because they get old. There's a lot of that on FR, and I agree with the poster I was responding to on the matter.

I have seen many people her age who did not look that bad. It’s not a matter of her being older. It’s a matter of the reporter saying she looks good when she does not. There is getting old and there is getting haggard.
