Georgia’s tough schedule also could help. Florida won the national title in 2006 after having played Tennessee, Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Georgia, South Carolina and FSU. Oh, they also went to Vanderbilt that year as well- never an easy game in Nashville.
I haven’t. I’ve been meaning to do that at some point in my life I just don’t know when—or even where, since I’d have all 12 teams fan bases saying “oh, you’ve gotta come to Baton Rouge, oh you gotta check out Gainesville” and so on.
Don’t worry. Hopefully Appalachian State will take it easy on LSU (anything can happen).
You can't go wrong.
ROLL TIDE,gonna be a interesting year.
Alabama 27
Auburn 13
Bah, CFN has about the wost coverage of non BCS conferences around..
Bah, CFN has about the wost coverage of non BCS conferences around.. So Ill enjoy the SEC, PAC10- Big 10, .... but they wont have anything in depth to say about the MAC
The Mountaineers seem to have the same motto as the SEC: Speed kills. And we've got speed.
That, and a heaping helping of over-confidence stunned Michigan last year.
Few teams have been able to sneak up on Les Miles' staff and the Boys from Boone have made a lot of noise in the South for the last three years.
It shapes up to be probably the most interesting start to a season ever with two National Champions from their respective divisions facing each other.
Which will be the deciding factor in the game?
LSU's newbie QB, Appalachian State's "Last year was no fluke mentality",or the Tiger Stadium mystique and LSU roster depth?
Gotta love it!
SEC Football - Why God invented Fall!
I grew up in Chareston county so I was a big Citadel fan—of course we lost a lot but the occassional win against VMI always saved the season.
Then back in 1978 I moved upstate—smack dab on the border between Clemson and Carolina country.
I like to root for the local team so I had to choose between garnet and orange.
It was hard at first but it seemed that every Clemson fan I ran into was such an obnoxious sob I had to go with the Gamecocks.
I’ve been paying for it ever since :(
But we have Spurrier so there’s still hope.
Unlike our last coach Lou Holtz,he ain’t near burned out.
True,Vandy used to be everybodys homecomming game wish, but the Commodores are a real fight now—same goes for Kentucky.
If all the other schools in America had to play a schedule like the SEC teams do—I wonder what their rankings would be?
Roll Tide! I believe it’s going to be a good year!
I agree, there are no gimmes in the SEC anymore.
That was you?
Thanks!
Seriously, I had a great experience in Charleston.
I won't say I was raised in a strict household with my Dad as a Colonel, but my faculty advisor at The Cid said I was the only person he had seen come through there that looked upon it as a party school.
I still go back at least once a year. I was a Summerall Guard AND Senior Private, so I am always there for Corps Day when the new Guard get their rifles. Some things are just important.
Just waiting for the first UT person to point out that Fulmer should also be holding a trophy, along with Meyer and Miles.
"It's Rollin' Baby, it's Rollin'" ;)
Thanks. Glad our "trade school" was able to make your "trade school" experience better.
War Eagle back at ya, Jemian. Bad to lose Aaron Savage already. Hope his surgery and recovery go well.
Maybe he ate it? :)
I have a nephew who attended the Citadel about six years ago—did three years but never finished—didn’t get the “ring.”
His freshman class, however, was all male so he was able to suffer knob year the traditional way (he’s still a little hard of hearing).
He said it was hell, but he noticed the men in the other classes that were co-ed gave him added respect.
I wish he would go back and finish.
