I need to change my tagline.
Well, I was never against McCain...I don’t know anything about Palin, but everything I’ve seen today so far is just making the whole idea grow on me more and more.
For me and my family McCain just went from we may have to vote for him just to keep the damngerous Socialist away from the Whitehouse to can’t wait to get out and cast my vote.
Honestly did not think that McCain had it in him to make this good a choice.
Is it a good choice. Oh you bet. You just have to watch and listen to all the leftwing talking heads tripping all over themselves to make personal attacks and slams on someone that has only officially been in the race for a few hours. Watching some of them you would think they are on the verge of brain hemmorages.
September and October just became much more interesting and likely fun to observe.
Oh this is just great. Evrytime one of these DNC attack dogs hot Palin on a personal level those already upset Hillary voters are going to get even more pissed.
Early today I heard Senator Biden proclaim several times that Pennsylvania has to be won by Obama to win the election.
If that is the case then I hope my fellow Pennsylvanians will oblige the good Senator and prove that he was right by sending John McCain and Sarah Palin to the White House in November.
What an honor that would be for Pennsylvania to have stood up to the Socialists and defended this Nation right at the ballot box...
Come on Pa lets prove Senator Joe right and send him and Obama back to the left.......
I’ve been pushing her for weeks here and elsewhere.
I took a day of vacation today and was having coffee with my mom this morning when my boss called and said there was an emergency situation I had to go take care of. I was mad as hell. Then I got in the car and turned Rush on and heard a woman giving one hell of a speech to a crowd that was going absolutely nuts. I didn’t know who it was until she mentioned her accomplishments in Alaska, and then I figured it out. It changed my whole mood. I was absolutely ecstatic!
GO SARAHCUDA!
She appears to be the real deal.
I am waiting for some more specifics on her positions on Illegal Immigration. If she is OK on this issue, I just may hold my nose and vote for her, not McCain.
The irony alone of Sen. McCain's choice is delicious. Follow along:
Senator Obama, running on the platform of being a Beltway "outsider," nevertheless picks one of the most notorious Beltway insiders to be his VP, publicly clotheshangs a popular female candidate, and exacerbates the division within his party in the process. Of even greater import is that Sen. Obama has never even been mayor of so much as an unincorporated hamlet, and yet he wants to become the most powerful man in the free world.
On the other hand: Sen. McCain, accused of being a Beltway insider (hard to argue that point) reaches over the crowd of established (and jaded) GOP old guard -who are viewed with distrust and even contempt by most Republicans and Americans after the Great Elephant Sellout of 2005- and plucks a ripe plum from the outer fringes of the orchard.
And two things are particularly striking about this choice: (1)Gov. Palin is decidedly NOT a Beltway insider; (2)Gov. Palin has far more executive leadership experience than Barack Obama has. Of much less material consequence, yet compounding the irony, is the fact that Gov. Palin also happens to be a woman. And did I mention that Gov. Palin is a conservative? Did I also not yet mention that Gov. Palin has accomplished what our Congress refuses to do- pushing ahead with opening up petroleum (natural gas) production and transportation?
Anyone- from either side of the aisle- who harps on Gov, Palin's "inexperience" forgets the fact that the Se, Obama has (1)Never even been a mayor of anything; and (2)Never governed aybody. And I would add that Gov. Palin has probably accomplished more to the benefit of her constituents that Sen. Obama has for his own.
The Democrats' and the dinosaur media's spin on this will be interesting- but predictable. And because Gov. Palin is a Republican, no feminist organization will come to her defense. (In fact, I'll bet breakfast that at least once before the end of this month some feminist group will call Gov. Palin a "traitor to the cause." Any takers?)
Get out the popcorn- this is getting exciting.
