Prayers lifted..
I’m very sorry.
So sorry, Lady J.
Hello sweet friends...oh, how I’ve missed being with you all these last few days. I did try to look over all the pretties, funnies, etc. but my tummy was uncomfortable sitting here in the chair. The sofa felt a lot better.
I am feeling much, much better today even though I did what I had to (some things being left undone) so decided not to spend a lot of time at Amy’s.
I did notice the sweet get well greetings and I thank each and every one of you for them.
There are a few friends not on my ‘ping’ list and I would love to have you on, only if you would like to be. So let me know and I will be glad to include you.
I am going to go through today’s thread as best I can. I may not get to answer all but I appreciate viewing them and being ‘pinged’ to them. Love every single one of you! The best friends in the world are “Freeper Friends”.
Beautiful, Meg....I sure have missed you all! Hope I can continue to be well.
That is absolutely gorgeous, dear Kitty! And the scripture is wonderful as usual. Thank you so much for the blessing.
I am so sorry, L. J. God Bless him and his family, including you of course. Prayers being said right away!
Yorkie, I don’t know how long its been but the subject of Playmate song came up. We discussed it for top to bottom. Each gave their view of what they sang, etc. Were you on here then. I am sure Billie or some of FRiends will remember this. We had a very good time with that song.
We must have all sung it, for sure. Glad to see you, yorkie!
A special thank you, dear Meg!
Thank you, Meg, for your gorgeous opening and the Gold Star Mother's tribute post. I remember when LadTx was writing essays for us for The Finest, one of them was about the "Blue Star Flag", which he explained this way:
The American War Mothers flag was first displayed during World War I. The blue star on a white background trimmed in red was a design created by Robert L. Queissner of Ohio to reflect the WWI service of his two sons. The flag was displayed in windows to denote the home of a soldiers mother. As WWI progressed and American lives were lost a new flag developed from the blue star. When a son was killed the, mothers began sewing a gold star over the blue and soon thereafter President Wilson began referring to these women as Gold Star Mothers.

And that photo is majestic as well!
