“It seems to have the opposite effect on me.”
Me, too. Frankly, my reaction to Obama is one of instant revulsion. Every time I see him speak more than a sentence or two, I develop an immediate dislike and even feeling of physical discomfort. I’m not kidding when I say that this is the same way I felt the one time someone tried to hypnotize me (with my consent).
Maybe it is a coincidence and this is a pile of dripe. However, I’m not going to completely discount it out of hand.
I never thought he was even mildly interesting as a speaker. I have wondered what the appeal was. He struck me as smarmy, arrogant, elitist and repulsive.
I wouldn’t buy a used car from him, let alone vote for him for President.
And that was my response BEFORE he openly exposed himself as a Marxist.

I feel the same way. It’s almost like living in Steven King’s book “The Stand”, and obama is Randall Flagg.
I just feel a compelling need to take a dump . . .
I haven never been able to listen to him. Even before all of the “bad” stuff came out I could not tolerate his voice. I rely on this board and transcripts to find out what he is yapping about. If Rush and Sean play a clip from him I turn down the volume.I posted to another Freeper in another thread my reaction reminds me of what Aragorn says when he is anticipating meeting Saruman in the Forest..”Do not let him speak. He will put a spell on us.”
