Krauthammer

Posted on 10/24/2008 5:07:11 AM PDT by 7thson

Did anyone watch Hume's Special Report last night? Man, it is really depressing how elitist they have become. Charles Krauthammer in particular. His utter disdain for Sarah Palin, Joe the Plumber, and the common American citizen is fully out. He insulted Joe's definition of socialism, stating he would rather get his political advice from Fred Barnes than Joe the Plumber. Than he went into a talk about socialism, sounding extremely wonkish and basically stated the American public are ignorant not knowing the real definition of socialism and that Obama's tax plan is okay, not socialism. Just a total depressing turn-off.

Krauthammer is, I believe, a Democrat. He has said so several times.

That a**head went further to say that it was worse under Eisenhower and Kennedy. Hume asked him if he liked Obama’s pplan and he could not answer. Barnes was almost as bad. It was a sad display Mara Liason was the conservative on that panel.
I think these people are trying to get in good with the messiah. To late he already hates anyone that works at FNC.

I'm so sick of these elite, snob jerks. Thank God this election is flushing them out into the sunlight in full view.

He may be a Dem, but he wrote in yesterday’s column he’s voting for McCain.

That being said, Brit’s show is in the “no watch zone” around my house. They’ve lost their edge.

Yeah, and he stated he was doing it "as a contrarian."

“Conservative” elites are in love with 0bama for the same reason they hate Sarah: He is one of them, and Sarah is one of us. They don’t know any Sarah Palin’s, but they spend their evenings at cocktail parties with people like 0bama. Heck, they probably all know atleast one friend like William Ayers.

If you look three threads down, you’ll that he has come out strongly in favour of McCain. Read his article. He might have been wavering but there’s no doubt at all about his final position.

The Smart Set is making their peace with an Obama victory.

If that is the definition of “smart”, Lord, let me be “stupid”.

How about we win this thing, rather than sitting around trying to figure out how we’re going to get along after the loss?

Used to watch Special Report religiously or TIVO it. I don’t watch it anymore. Wheel of Fortune on the other channel is much more edifying.

He believes that the SC minority (Stevens) had the best of the argument on Heller.

Brit’s show is in the “no watch zone” around my house.

Mine too. Their coverage has been awful. They are all supposed to be the experts. I'm going to have to watch CSPAN election night coverage until Hannity and Greta come on.

I think he was saying that the world won’t come to an end if the top tax rate for millionaires goes up to 39 percent. Or if the estate tax goes up for the super-rich.

George W. Bush likes to spend money like crazy but doesn’t like to have to pay for it. That will be his legacy.

Barnes is a dyed in the wool country club / open borders Republican. I think Brit is the only conservative they have on their panel. And I would trust Joe The Plumber to run the country over that windbag Barnes any day of the week.

And as for Krauthammer. Mr. Krauthammer, I believe I have more degrees than he does, and I think Joe the Plumber defined Socialism just fine.

The world may not come to an end, but I personally feel it is immoral and repugnant for the government to lay claim to almost 40% of anyone's hard-earned wages. Almost half! And that's not counting other taxes, etc.

As for GWB, the answer is simple - don't spend like a drunken sailor! Too late, unfortunately.

I heard Charles say he liked Joe the Plumber. I think you’re wrong on this. He’s an intellectual for sure, a deep thinker, like William Buckley was....but don’t think he’s an elitist snob.
