Good evening, and later....good morning for Election Week 2008.
Nobama's now-revealed plans to destroy the coal industry -which only produces about 50% of our electricity for pete's sake! - got me to thinking...
You've heard of...a children's menu???...certainly children's books?? and maybe children's story hour at the public library??
Well, now, my FRiends, to quote John McCain, we have in Senator Nobama, the Children's Candidate!
Yep that's what he is the Candidate for the Children, for you ARE a child if you believe in his nonsense...you can't even call them fairy tales, because those old gems often have strains of truth and morals to them.
Nope, this Obama character is the Child Candidate for the Children who hope adoringly for "change"....They believe he'll pay their bills, fill their gas tanks, make all those bad people go away by **poof** "talking to them"...
Well, it's been an amazing spectacle, and it's not over.
But us Adults have to...WILL... show up to vote on Tues.
Childhood is fine for about 15 years, then it's time to move on to responsibilities, liberty based in self-discipline, and all sorts of achievements depending on our choices.
Know any voters like I've described? Divert them to the toy story on Tues....
THAT WOULD BE # 136.......
Good morning, L. Yes, I have been over there reading it. Thanks!
Mmmmm, you’ve been busy!!
Good Morning Dawn Patrol.
This is the long awaited day. My nerves are shot. I’ll be dragging myself upstairs and getting dressed and heading out the door in a bit to get in line. I don’t want to wait in a long line on crutches.
God bless America!!
Listening to Bennett.........People are calling in saying lines to vote are VERY long.
Better take a folding chair, kassie.
Oh great idea. Thanks.
Thank you, after I finish the breakfast you served, I’m off to help at the polls until 1900. Y’all take care, VOTE, if you haven’t already. We MUST win this one for America’s sake. bye till later.
Good Morning Dawn Patrol.
I think this is the cutest political ad of the year:

Best wishes to all who will be working at the polls today, and thank you for giving your time to do so.
Will report back on my voting experience...
Raven, Joe "The Gaffe" was in your old neck of the woods last night...
Good morning:) Thanks for the article- he’s persuasive and sensible!
I voted here (Central FL- red county) and the line was about 15 minutes. There were a LOT of gray-haired older folks- one in a wheelchair- one with a walker. Waiting in line patiently, quietly. Lots of people my age too (50’s) on their way to work.
Also an assortment of younger ones- though not many and I gathered this was a first for them- lots of questions and frankly, ignorance. There was a group of 3 young women asking each other if they could just vote for president and leave the rest blank. Eeeesh!
God Bless the McCain and Palin families and our beloved country today.
Good morning!
Where were you on St. Crispin’s Day?
It is also Garbage Day. I have just taken four bags to the street.
I also have a huge headache. I’m off to take the pain meds.
Any news of Utah Girl...Mozie???
For the record, I have not turned on any TV news today. It will be silent all day long. I’m also spending the day praying. God is sovereign and He is in control. The battle is enjoined and we must do our part, then watch and wait.
Kinda like I do when JT is in the sandbox.

Funny- I usually turn the tv on around 6 - and I haven’t done so this morning. Even FOX- I’m just worn out listening to them all.
I’m going to spend a couple of hours making more calls for McC!
Me, too. I'll listen to Rush today. That's about it. The youngest wants me to pick her up after her chem class and take her to vote. It is her first vote ever. Yay! She has been discussing polictics with her friends. She can put forth a good argument.
My 16-year-old attends a Chicago public high school. He says that all his teachers are in the tank for Obama and that the kids are all talking about how they are going to beat up people and set stuff on fire if Barry loses. I asked him how many McCain supporters he knows talk like this and that the quality of a person’s candidacy can be judged by the kinds of followers he attracts. I also told him that the reason the kids are talking this way is because someone is “community organizing” just like Barry did in order to stir up hatred and discontent as a political weapon.
Yep- I’ll listen to Rush :)
Several years ago our overseas school had a teacher come out for a while who had mostly taught in Chicago schools. She was very left-wing politically and just would not listen when others tried to present our points in a discussion. She also was pro-active in discipline which didn’t go over well because in our little community the kids were trained well at home and had no thought of doing the things she was guarding against. This teacher made me wonder what does happen in the city’s schools. So sad to automatically expect the worst.
