McCain didn’t know that he shouldn’t support his opponent.

Wasn’t she amazing? Her appearance on SNL was handled with such grace. I couldn’t believe it. I couldn’t have done it. She was charming.

And she never wavered in the final days of McCain’s disastrous campaign. She rallied the troops as we were taken down by McCain.

...and a rhodes scholar to boot

Which makes him an 'insider' in my book. Clinton was a Rhodes Scholar, too.

I just see that as the credentials of inbred academia, but I will be fair and check him out more thoroughly.

The elephant in the room which must be addressed is the media.

No candidate, however qualified will ever get anywhere if the Marxist media is not taken to task.

Not only did they deify Obama, they relentlessly smeared everyone else while doing so, and NEVER gave more than the briefest of mention to stories which would have occupied headlines for weeks had Obama been a Republican.

As a result, we know more about 'Joe the Plumber', whose private live has been eviscerated in the public square than the President-elect.

Carl needs to shut his pie hole. Don’t forget Palin trashed the news yahoos every stop she made..he might be a little weepy about it.

McNutcase is showing his true colors by not stopping this delusional blamefest.

He would have gotten about 37% like old man Bush if not for Palin.

I agree with your points. Reagan and Thatcher were also vilified by the media and their opponents (inside and outside of their parties). However, by that time both Reagan and Mrs Thatcher were in power and that makes all the difference.

This smear campaign - and that is all it is - is immensely hurtful to any possible future prospects of Sarah Palin. Good conservatives and she herself, must start to fight it - and do it now.

This kind of creepy gossip is definitely coming from inside the party - even the campaign. But it won't stay there - look at the comments on the FOX site.

Unfortunately, I've seen so many good, real conservative politicians destroyed here in Europe by that type of smear from their “colleagues”. What may have started as a fight between a real conservative and CINOs is always taken up by the socialists and their media friends, and soon enough the smear sticks in the mind of the public.

One reason for real conservatives being particularly prone to these kinds of attacks is that fact that they often are honorable persons who don't like to feed party disunity or to gossip.

However, there is only one real defence - hit back, and hit hard and swiftly.

It is always difficult to respond to these types of innuendoes and rumors, but I certainly would like to see Sarah Palin write articles on energy politics, and other political topics of the day, and to appear once again in interviews on national television.

I don't fear that she would have any difficulties to handle either interviewers or questions now that she no longer has to carry the McCain campaign around her neck.

Contrast her later on-the-fly interviews with reporters and those first interviews when she was coached by the campaign staffers.

I can understand McCain making that mistake. I still call the Colts the Baltimore Colts once in a while and they have been in Indianapolis longer than Czechoslovakia has been split up.

I never saw Romney draw anywhere near the amount of supporters that Palin did. Sarah was the best thing about the McCain campaign. Maybe if McCain had stuck with conservative principles instead of sucking up to moderates, we wouldn’t be in this mess.

These are people who know that their very careers are on the line and if they are attached to the McCain campaign no one will hire them so they are scapegoating Palin to in effect salvage their reputation.

Looks Like RINO’s leaving a sinking ship!

Go help a Democrat lose in the 2010 and get out of here!

Without Palin, McCain was nothing more than Obama light. She brought all the energy and authenticity to the ticket. War hero, yes. McCain has my undying respect. But as a politician he’s a Washington retread.

And as for the assualts on Sarah’s intelligence, character, etc., I have yet to see one derisive accusation turn out to be true.

Go Sarah!

I am one of the lucky ones who was able to see and hear her at the Colorado Springs rally. She was fantastic, smart, gave her speech with no telepromters, and was energizing.

It is sad to see that you are also trying to smear Governor Palin. At least the great state of Alaska knows who their Governor is and what she stands for. The people of the United States do not know who their newly elected President is or what he stands for or even how he will govern. Sad state for the president of our great country.

Maybe Sarah didn't know who is NAFTA. As a matter of fact, I don't either. I will bet anyone a dollar or two that if she had be elected VP one of her aides would have brought around a list if she made the request.

Everyone who believes that the media must destroy Sarah to prevent her candidacy in the future is pretty well correct.

ANY mother with kids who’ve gone through grade school KNOWS Africa is a continent. How many world maps or geography tests does a mom help her kids with in a given year?

yea..right..

this whole thing is absurd...I knew there’d be trouble when she started proving to be very popular. So much of the McCain staff is former Romney staff. Guess we know now that Mitt’s really interested in 2012.

I agree with Chris, who wrote:

I have a hard time believing that the Chair of the Interstate Oil And Gas Conservation Commission doesn't know who's in NAFTA. The Romneybots are pulling the chain again in the runup to the National Governor's Conference.
