Did you see what the MSM did to "Joe the plumber"? The talking heads must either report or create news to stay in business. I'd take the Palin story with a grain of salt.

It’s a conservative site and Sarah’s a conservative hence the fan club around these parts.

Jindal has a fan club too.

Romney? That’s more controversial. I would say more doubt he’s “one of us” then believe it.

I have not looked at Fox since the day before the election. Just can take the schizo approach they have anymore.

I am done with them. Just like the Clinton years when I could not watch the news without throwing up and never watched it EVER.

So here I am with the conservative blogsphere and the old movie channel. It. Is. What. It. Is.

I plan to be an ardent supporter of Sarah Palin. After I take a month off from politics to regain some sanity.

Before I step away from the political arena I do plan to make some calls to the senators about the Fairness Doctrine.

I know the Governorship is a great pathway to the WH but in my very humble opinion I agree with you about the senate run. It steps on the Messiah’s win, it gets her talking, speaking a lot and keeps her in the news. It keeps the Olbermanns frothing at the mouth. A new Sarah victory would be such a gift right now and such a missile at the msm.

"I emailed Gov. Palin and thanked her for re-energizing the conservative movement. I also asked her to consider running for Sen. Stevens seat when he (is more than likely) forced out in Jan. I let her know that I want her to be MY candidate in 2012. I urge ALL of you to do the same! You can go here to email her: http://gov.state.ak.us/govmail.php"

Thanks, I sent her the following:

Governor Palin,

Just wanted to thank you for your hard work and enthusiasm during the campaign. You did an incredible job against difficult odds and I thank you for that. Beyond that, I think you were personally responsible for getting the Republican turnout to the level it was on Tuesday. Without you it could have been much worse.

Don't let the detractors get you down and please return for us in 2012.

thanks and all the best,

Is this Free Republic or is this the Sarah Palin fan club? I thought this was a site for conservative dialogue?

WOW. The FR site has been crawling with you people for the last two days. Some are claiming to be Jindall supporters, some Romney, some Huckabee, etc. I don't buy any of it. You are spouting the left talking points. Yesterday, it was she was the new Dan Quayle. Damaged goods was a favorite phrase.

You guys/gals are getting easy to spot. Nice Alinsky tactics, though.

I know Sarah is loved here, but some of her interviews have given us little reason to doubt the allegations.

I'd love to have 2 or 3 hours of video of you answering gotcha questions and then edit it down to 10 minutes or so. I'm certain I could make you look far more foolish than they attempted to make Miss Sarah look.

I agree, if she were in the Senate, she'd be in opposition and would be able to spend her time opposing bad proposals from the Democrats - and getting time on TV and elsewhere to make her case.

It would also give her time to build a relationship with the American people - for people who don't know her the criticisms are believable. After 2-3 years of going on television and speaking to the entire country, those criticisms will go away forever.

I don't want her to spend 10 years in the Senate, just 2-3 with this special election as a stepping stone and as a way of talking to more people more effectively.

I have a feeling after she has a chance to catch her breath, she will begin settling scores. The McCain RINOs and the MSM have pi$$ed off the wrong person.

This is the part of the equation that concerns me a bit. We have idealized Sarah Palin to such a great extent.

Until a few short months ago, she was a largely unknown governor of an exceedingly lightly populated state (there are 17 mayors in the US governing larger populations). What political capital does she really have with which she can settle these scores? I don't see it.

As for the kind of person she is, we don't really have much a clue, in terms of whether or not she is the wrong person to pi$$ off. And what leverage does she really have as an outsider?

She seems like a nice enough person, so I wish her the best. Long years of anonymity in the Alaska wilderness. Hell, I'd like that for me, too.

If she didn’t know that Africa is a continent and not a country, then it makes them all, including McCain, look extremely bad for choosing her in the first place.

You really believe this is possible? Really?

Hey, maybe she doesn't know a bicycle has two wheels. Why don't we check into that? It's plausible, right?

I believe that it most definitely will help her in a bid for the white house in 2012 if she had some “national” experience under her belt. That’s why I think it is important as conservatives that we urge her if the opportunity presents itself, to run for Sen. Stevens seat.

Our job started yesterday to get a conservative elected in 2012!

Here is what I sent her:

Gov. Palin,

I want to thank you for the energy and hope you have put back into conservatives. I am not from Alaska, but as a concerned conservative republican, I urge you to continue your fight to win our country back from the hands of the liberals who seek to destroy the very founding principals of our great nation.

I hope if Sen. Stevens is forced to step down in Jan. that you will consider running for his seat in the Senate. We need you in Washington! Whether you choose to run for his seat or not, I hope and pray to see you as MY candidate for President in 2012. We have a long four years ahead of us, we NEED you now more than ever!

With much respect and admiration,

Sarah Palin will be destroyed in the coming year or so. This will come from the Media The Democrats and the RINOS (I would also add Socialists but that would be redundant) Palin cannot be allowed to gather strength for a Presidential run.

If she were to Be the Republican Nominee in 2012 it would cause the Socialists (OK I admit it I am being redundant) all sorts of problems. They will not allow it. Palin politically from this day forward is Dead Meat. And its about the saddest part of this whole mess.

“Did you see what the MSM did to “Joe the plumber”? The talking heads must either report or create news to stay in business. I’d take the Palin story with a grain of salt.”

There must be a way for the GOP under Sarah to directly take on the media. I hope somebody smart is working on this now. If not they should hire some of the FReepers here who are far more articulate than I.

The gloves NEED TO COME OFF. What the heck do we have to lose? Out with the old in with Sarah, Bobby, Cantor, Boehner. Come on GOP wake up and take on the media. I just can’t imagine letting the media get away with what hey have done here. What about a boycott, anything. We can’t play the game on their terms any longer. GET CREATIVE GOP!

I find it amusing that you talk about this being a site for conservative dialogue and then throw Mitt Romney in as an example of better candidates for 2012. Mitt Romney is a lot of things but conservative is not one of them.

The blogosphere in general has done well dismantling the MSM. Consider the infamous Bush reserve letter and the Murtha Hadiatha episodes.

Freepers are well informed by the content of the website. The problem isn't so much getting the facts out as getting visibility while getting the facts out.
